They could easily put it on Switch, only issue would be frames. 2k runs at 30 frames. So a racing game with 40 drives would be quite... risky to say the least. No matter what, I’d still buy it. I’d love to play it. My psp is so outdated, I want a new portable NASCAR game! They’d make a shit ton!
@@Z64sports Having played both Days of Thunder and Bill Elliot's NASCAR Fast Tracks they actually impressed me quite a bit. Days of Thunder looks a bit better, but is stupidly easy once you get the hang of it. Like in a 40 lap race (the longest you could do) I would lap the whole field at least once. Bill Elliot's on the other hand is hard as nails, you have to tune the car differently for each track, damage and tire wear play a much larger role in effecting your performance, and the hardest difficulty (which championship is always played on) is next to impossible to win first place on. Kinda said that NASCAR 2000 on GBC was a step back in most ways, 3rd person view and terrible driving physics. NASCAR Heat on GBC was even worse, basically a budget RC pro-am with NASCAR paint. Oops, these comments were from 8 months ago... Fuck it, I'm posting this rant anyway!
Failure business wise. PSP sold a lot of units but Sony couldn't make their money back cuz of hackers doing piracy. Games were being pirated so Sony was making bare minimum back

Nascar 07 soundtrack was fire and i like how you used diary of jane instrumental as the background music, nascar 07 introduced me to breaking benjamin.

I wish they made a NASCAR game with a career mode that actually spanned decades of NASCAR, like not just as numbers, but the vehicles too. So you would start out in the 60s, 70s, or 80s and the cars would advance over time as it got closer to present day.
I had this game on my PSP from third grade until about my sophomore year in high school. I am suprised it lasted as long as it did. This video brought me back good memories, thanks for the video Darian.
Dude the day you made this video (I didn’t see it til now) I found my psp 3000, problem was it had no charger! Luckily a shop right down the street from me sells chargers, and I’m hooked! I’ll have to buy nascar, definitely having fun with the sport games.

Goddamn this brings back some memories. I remember playing this game for hundreds of hours. I still have vivid memories of doing a full 300 lap race as Kurt Busch and coming 13th place overall and driving as Jeff Gordon going around Nazareth Speedway and at the time I thought it was a fictional track in Nazareth, Israel of all places..... yeah I was a dumb kid. Seeing this video really gave me a nostalgia rush I haven't had in a long time, great video man. Gonna have to download the iso file of this game and play it on an emulator just to relive those memories.
bought a psp late last year (nostalgia buy), and got the nascar game to go with it. played it almost every day in class, and I had a few people come up to my desk going "holy shit, is that a psp?" Eventually every day in 2nd and 3rd period there'd be a group of guys come and watch me drive around. they witnessed me win the Busch title before we got let out from the pandemic.
Nascar Heat Ultimate and Rivals on switch helped bring back some of the nostalgia of this game for me. So much so that I dug out my old psp and fired this game back up
Hells I still have my PSP and haven't turned it on in 15 years until recently and it's still works now and I actually have this game and I had lots of fun. Those were the memories. PS you also didn't mention they have the amazing lightning/ dodge challenge mode
You can play NASCAR on the PSP on the PPSSPP emulator, which is available on both PC and mobile devices. You just gotta download the .ISO file for it and it will start working
This game and NASCAR Thunder 2003 on the GameCube are what really got me into NASCAR. NASCAR, MVP Baseball 2005, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 were my favorite games on the PSP. In fact, I played this game so much that it eventually stopped working on my PSP. I hope that one day, I can own a PSP again just for this game.
I played this game so much on the PSP. Along with Gran Turismo, Midnight Club, and NCAA Football. I had plenty more games but I easily spent my most time on those games. Especially Gran Turismo and NASCAR.

1:41 I don't like physics a lot. Every time I get into my rear quarter panel into someone who is about to pit maneuver me, I CAN'T TURN AWAY! Heck, I am sometimes able to steer away from that. Impossible for that especially a tracks like Lowes and Texas and etc. That's my biggest problem. But still. better than 704's heat mobile. (Yes, I know the PSPS is supposed to be better, but it still is better than heat mobile)

I only played this game once as a kid. My neighbor had it because of me. I made him interested in NASCAR. The physics were the reason why I couldn’t get a hang of it. My friend doesn’t watch NASCAR anymore, but it was cool seeing NASCAR in PSP.
Didn’t see it in this video in pit stops but I remember from the PSP nascar game in pit stops you had press the correct button combination of x square triangle and circle to change tires. Is there another nascar game I am thinking of or is there a way to turn that feature off I never figured out

How about an episode on the NASCAR spinoff games, such as NASCAR Kart Racer and Unleashed? I played those not too long ago and those were a blast to play, mainly Unleashed, that game was just the regular games on crack.
One, 80 Million sales is only less than major when it puts you tenth and your stable mates are 1,4,5, and 7 and your main rival was number 2 Two, that white psp was so cool but so hard to keep hand gunk out of the thumb stick. I wish I had given the nascar game the time of day back when I carried a psp, but money was tight and Gran Turismo scratched my itch as best it could on the PSP

Sony sold 76 million PSPs, I think they where quite happy with that.
What they didnt like was the rampant piracy that allowed to download free games.

I've been playing this on my PS Vita with adrenaline. The steering is a bit stiff but it's neat to have a mostly fully fledged NASCAR game on portable

Such a great game. I had NASCAR 07 on PS2 but now I'm getting it on PSP cause I loved it.
Fun fact: NASCAR ‘14 and NASCAR ‘15 also have a flashback feature. Not a lot of people use it though or probably know about it.

How do you control your car? Full assist is too slow, but limited is too hard.

Psp was pretty good
Fantastic game on a fantastic device. The one major downside is that you can't pick numbers lower than 100 in the creation suite.
I got one for Christmas as a kid and a few months later it just stopped working 😢.
