This was one of my favorite boards from Mario Party 1, it’s pretty cozy to play that board for me,sadly this isn’t getting a remaster to the new Mario Parties on the Nintendo switch which is unfortunate..😢
They made a Nintendo 64 expansion pack for the switch containing the first 3 Mario parties. I just got it today and played Mario Party 1 for the first time ever and actually did good
Well it's the N64, what do you expect? For me, judging the graphics of a game on older hardware should be based on how much the game takes advantage of the system's capabilities while also keeping mind the graphical limitations. For example, I'm not gonna compare something like Sonic 3 & Knuckles to Sonic Unleashed in terms of visuals since that is far from fair, but instead look at how both push their systems' limits with Sonic 3 being arguably one of the best looking Genesis titles while Sonic Unleashed is probably the best looking Sonic game the X-Box 360 and PS3 can offer (when the framerate isn't screaming in agony that is...). And in terms of Mario Party, while the backgrounds look a bit drab for me, I do like the character models and hey, Bowser's face doesn't look like it was stung by bees like in Super Mario 64, so that checks out for me!
This game, and specifically this board, is my happy place.
That music when you win a minigame just makes my day
