Simba, I hope this finds you my brother! I am 30 years old and joining the Army as a 25 Bravo. I have been out of school for YEARS! So I struggled with the ASVAB. I was scoring a 35 AFQT. Since finding you on TH-cam, I have watched all of your videos and studied them with the upmost attention to detail. I am pleased to say I took my ASVAB at MEPS and i scored a 70 AFQT, with all line scores exceeding 113. Knowing I now qualify for any job with any branch of the military is a blessing. But still going Army as a 25 Bravo! More over, with my college credits I will rank E3 to start! Thank you Simba. You are the freaking man!

Going to meps Thursday with my buddy for the Army i have taken the asvab 3 times first getting 17 then a 25 then a 30. failing this can really set you back and make you feel like you cant get a grasp of it I finally found this channel and it's helping me understand so much man I appricate your videos it really sheds and light and helps me learn man best of luck to me my best buddy and anyone who's going to take the asvab !!

Great video, it’s been years that I haven’t done math. I did my asvab practice test and math is one of my weaknesses. Arithmetic is challenging after so many years of not doing math.

I got in touch with a recruiter last week and in a few days I’m going in to take a practice Asvab test to check my level to see if I feel comfortable to move forward in this direction. Anything past 5 is harder for me to memorize. I'm working on my ged at the same time for this. I need to work on fractions, percentages, long multiplication. I got this!

For the percentage question determining the 15 percent an alternative way of finding the answer out is to take the $195.00 and move the decimal over one place to the left giving you $19.50 that is ten percent. In order to get 15 percent you simply divide the number by two giving you $9.75 and finally you add the two numbers giving a total of $29.25 as a tip

I randomly had your video pop up in my feed. At the moment, I'm working on getting my GED to get into the army, but I've been having a bit of trouble remembering some of the stuff from school. I did on that question @ 59:23 I divided 960,000 by 96,000 and got 10 and figured 1/10 was the answer math has never been a strong suit of mine but you’re videos are so helpful thank you hopefully I go in and pass ❤ Edit: and obviously there are no calculators so I’ll still have to work on it but yk practice makes perfect

I know for 7-8-9 anything past 7 starts getting harder for me to visualize because i lose count pretty quick lol, well to the point where I start counting instead of instant answer. Im slow but I usually get the stuff right unless I dont know the formula ofc
The jack hot dog question I use a different method, which is I added up the number of hot dogs jack eats to Jeff and I multiply by 12mins gave me 60 same answer as your method.
Ahh great job! That’s a creative way to get to the same answer ! Others also used formulas to get the correct answer as well. Many different ways but as long as we get the same answer that’s what counts! Also thank you for commenting what you did because other viewers might prefer your method as well!
Just passed ged, seems like most of these questions are what I've been studying for over a year to pass ged. For the hot dog question I multipled 3×12 2*12 Add both for 60

A 47 is still very good idk what branch you’re trying to join but you can find plenty sign on bonuses with a 47 for the Army

I did on that question @ 59:23 I divided 960,000 by 96,000 and got 10 and figured 1/10 was the answer math has never been a strong suit of mine but you’re videos are so helpful thank you hopefully I go in and pass ❤
Edit: and obviously there are no calculators so I’ll still have to work on it but yk practice makes perfect

@@simbaalexander no the navy recruiter said test was cancelled so I don’t when I’m going to take it again but they be waisting my time I’m very impatient , hopefully I do get it
31 going into the airforce. Got a 35 on the pre test. lets hope this gets to a 60 or higher ! blessing brother . test is on 9/13

I know for 7-8-9 anything past 7 starts getting harder for me to visualize because i lose count pretty quick lol, well to the point where I start counting instead of instant answer. Im slow but I usually get the stuff right unless I dont know the formula ofc
The jack hot dog question I use a different method, which is I added up the number of hot dogs jack eats to Jeff and I multiply by 12mins gave me 60 same answer as your method.
Ahh great job! That’s a creative way to get to the same answer ! Others also used formulas to get the correct answer as well. Many different ways but as long as we get the same answer that’s what counts! Also thank you for commenting what you did because other viewers might prefer your method as well!
