Things to do: ?? You must be new to the DMV bc apparently, your idea of something to do only involves clubs and music concerts. You waved your hand and said, well there's DC. But you could at least mention SOME of the numerous museums bc your target audience is for people who are unfamiliar w DMV, right? You said that there is no beach, but then completely ignored ALL of the boating and riverfront info. You also didn't mention any of the cultural events/festivals all over the DMV. There are hiking/biking trails, camping opportunities. You look like a person who really really really enjoys food. So give outsiders some foodie info. DMV has people from all over the world living here, and many have brought their cooking skills with them and have opened restaurants. You need to update to add this stuff.
I’m originally from Silver Spring, MD. Sadly, I moved away when my new husband was transferred by Uncle Sam (USAF). That was over 30 yrs ago. I didn’t realize the move would become permanent when he retired (long story). I miss home SO SO SO SOOOOOOO much!!! I’m going to love watching your videos - they will be like taking mini vacations back to the area! 😊
I lived in Pasadena Maryland on Spring Knoll Drive the first 9 years of my life. I loved it. Haven't been back in 11 years. Oddly I don't miss it anymore but it will always be in my heart.
Remember he said "areas around Reston" may not have HOAs. Reston itself is a super HOA. You'll have two HOAs living in Reston: the Reston Association and your local cluster (or condo) association. The Reston Association is sort of like a town government if all they managed were parks & rec, road construction, and code enforcement. Yes we have moderately-high HOA fees, but we have a ton of amenities as a result, including amazing paved trail infrastructure, community centers, pools, tennis courts, and lake access from all that. Burke Centre operates on a similar governance model under the Burke Centre Conservancy. Having lived in both places, I think the Reston Association takes a much lighter touch in terms of enforcement (my neighbor said they only came twice in 25 years), whereas the Burke Centre Conservancy sends their enforcement patrol out on golf carts regularly to ding residents for violations. Do people have complaints in Reston? Sure, but my neighbors have been living here for 30-40 years, so it's nothing they can't live with
For those that say Winchester isn’t nova. We’re literally the most northern city/town in Virginia 😂. But for the love of god I wish we would stop building apartments and town houses. We don’t have nearly the infrastructure.
It looks nice but the weeds theme song starts playing in my head when I see these videos. It’s crazy since I live in Conn and it’s much more wooded lol and the house’s don’t line up so nice. But it has its pros there’s a lot more privacy
Culpeper and Spotsylvania are on track to be a once charming small town feel that will be Loudon county or fairfax county very soon. The generations of families that lived and still live in these areas are watching as their opinions of how our counties run become silenced as we are out numbered by new residents. Its awesome to see stressed roads, water/sewer systems and schools become more stressed and our taxes going up. Thank you county supervisors for prioritizing the flew heres over the grew heres
Want affordability? Live where you work. You don't need a yard if no one gets home until after dark. I'm a Fairfax native & a McMansion with no trees made of cardboard that you never see in daylight will make you sad.
Spotsylvania and culpeper have some of the most predatory and harassing thugs as police. I’d never recommend anyone living there unless they want to be policed by domestic terrorists.
@muslimah203 im going to disagree with you on Spotsylvania's sheriff and his deputies. Spotsylvania has very trained, disciplined and professional deputies , their vehicles have simple identifying graphics and unmarked cars are mostly white and Explorers are the vehicle they use. Spotsylvania is not aggressive in any way I've seen. Now...for the other county..I will agree with you though
So you are the guy that's ran up the cost of living so high that none of my friends that grew up there can afford to live there?! Tell them the truth Dale City the bedroom community is the hood! They call Woodbridge Woodbridge and Front Royal hates newcomers!!!! I hate people that lie to make a dollar!!!
Can someone please translate? That is not a $500. 1960s home now worth millions. I'm missing something. We used to pick out what we wished for, at Christmas time, from the Sears annual catalog.
Hello! Firstly, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the video and have already subscribed :D Just for some context, I'm a single 20 year-old guy in Charlotte NC, and am a cybersecurity consultant earning $96k/year, and am earning a degree part-time. I'm considering to move to the Arlington area this summer and am looking for a more exciting place to live. Given my salary, do you think living in Arlington is feasible, particularly with or without owning a car with a one-bedroom/studio? Also, are there any neighborhoods you might recommend given my circumstances from a social and financial perspective? Thanks!

Don't forget to mention the ticks - it's a sincere consideration.

Winchester is going to be the next stafford county with home prices.
I love Winchester
Too many apartments and townhouses and not enough infrastructure? Welcome to northern Virginia...

It's a college town
Born and raised in Fairfax! I love our area.
I lived in NVa for 24 years... Brought a condo in Lorton back in 95 sold it for double...truly enjoyed it there. I'm back home in Philly..

My grandparents bought a sears house in 62. It was 51,000 not 500
Front royal, Virginia is a beautiful small little town.
The way this was written, sounds like he purchased Bingo from Sears for $500 in 1960…..sounds like a Northern Virginia education.
a question cuz im just curious
do you think they honored his bingo card after all those years?
btw- hilarious post
I lived in Gainesville, Virginia for 7 yrs. Planning on going back!!!❤❤❤ I lived in prince william county.
Honestly, if he just took the part that says "to hit up bingo" and put it at the very end of that Sentence- it would've made so much more sense.
This tells you a lot about VA!

He lies a lot
Amen!!

None of these areas except arlington and Alexandria were northern Va
They are not Fairfax County, but they are definitely in the northern part of Virginia.
@@KJ-oon Alexandria is Fairfax County though?
@ilikelemonheads101 yes it is.
Alexandria is not north Va
@CannonTV228 , yes, it is. But, if you say it is not northern VA, where do you think it is?
