  • In April of 2022, I shared this video with Team Fox. We were raising awareness during Parkinson’s Awareness month. But I never shared it on my channel. To-date, we have donated $200,000 to MJFF for Parkinson’s research since 2021. While the 5KforJK nonprofit still supports and funds MJFF research, we also create and send Parkinson’s kits for free to those that are diagnosed.

I can only imagine the mental anxiety with young-onset Parkinson. It’s difficult enough being diagnosed at a later stage in life, but my kids are grown. I would like to see a cure in my lifetime, but it’s especially important for people like you!❤

I feel exactly the same for my family. Research in 2023 brought a lot of hope, I’m excited for 2024!

Thank you for sharing. I can understand how you feel eventhough I am a male. I always thought I would be the strong one, helping others with their needs. My family and friends call me Mr. Fixi-it, I have always had an understanding how mechanical items work and most the time can fix them, I also have carpentry skills and perform our house remodeling. I am slowly loosing my ability to do this kind of work, it is very frustrating. I never thought I would be dealing with a disease like parkinsons, it is very humbling and Idon't want to be burden to my family. My hopes are lifted by new research trying to stop or slow the progression of parkinsons and maybe a cure. I think you will see great strides forward in the treatment of parkinsons in the next 5 to 10 years. So keep your spirits up and keep moving.

Thank you for your vulnerability, and being real. Thank you for making others feel like they're not alone.
Funny that is exactly what I was telling my aunt 20 minutes ago on the phone. And choking up on all the same similar emotions. Just like you were in the video. Although I'm much older than you but I was a very active person. Very strong and did everything a man or a woman I could do to take care of my family. But this sudden downhill is a scary fact. I am hanging in with you And all our other PD fellows. 🤗
    Happy holidays to you.
