Use to be my go to reel for striper fishing in Arizona. I gave mine away to a teenager that lost his rod and reel while fishing the shore near where I was loading my boat.
What brought me here and new to your channel is I'm thinking about buying a replacement.

The centrifugal brake is one and the outer circle is another brake adjustment, then “fingers” on spinner handle is drag. Also if u take the cover off u can adjust the eye back into sink manually.

I've been debating between the Komodo, a A3, and a Tranx for my saltwater needs. I REALLY like a synchronized line guide when casting but in turn like the salt water capabilities of the Tranx. Ugh! I wish the NaCl were higher ratios

I suspect the Tranx 300 should be quite a bit smoother. Other than that, I would be interested to know the max drag comparison.

Here on the west coast the komodo Citrix and trans are used primarily as salmon reels

I want/need a Komodo SS 463. I have a Citrix 350 and think its an excellent reel although I have not taken it apart. If you ever get a chance get a Citrix 350 and take it apart??? Its suppose to a brass version of the Komodo in this video. I got my Citrix for $100! There is no other 300 size reel that cheap!
