Jrue Holiday, 34, will slow down in 2 to 3 years from now. Jaden Springer, the same height as Jrue , should be his future replacement.

Hopefully that jumper from springer is consistent.
Best case scenario for him: he takes the 9th/10th man spot early in the season away from baylor. He also makes dumping/trading PP realistic.
Worst case if the jumper is real: he becomes a good trade chip and fetches us a 1st round pick.

You literally have absolutely no idea wtf ur talking about ha?😂
      You 🤡
Pritchard is always going to be the backup pg
Springer is going to get minutes that Tatum, brown, jrue and white aren't playing because those 4 are going to be playing way less minutes next season than they did this season
Instead of 36/37 minutes per game Tatum n brown are probably going to play 30ish minutes per game... That opens up 16 minutes right there
Also there's going to be A LOT OF GAMES that both porzingus and horford don't play... ESPECIALLY up until January when porzingus comes back
Horford is only going to play about 15 minutes per game, which opens up a TON of minutes for schierman, springer and queta

Every one knows jaden Springer has great defensive potential we just need him to developed a 3 point shot that would make him a steal

If his jumper in g1 is consistent he and baylor should have a good competition as to who's the 9th/10th man when Al sits on the 2nd night of a B2B early in the season.

The 9th/10th man should be open early in the season when Al sits on the 2nd night of a B2B.
Should be between springer or baylor.

@@JayR-o9z eventually. He wont right now without enough development. Coach DJ continues to put the ball in the hands of ramsey (yuck, ballhog) over baylor when JD sits. Baylor has 50x the playmaking chops ramsey has who is more of a score 1st, 2nd and 3rd guard.

He's better than hauser at pretty much every besides catch n shoot 3 pt shooting
I wouldn't surprise me at all to see schierman take hausers minutes by the time the post season comes

@@JayR-o9z hopefully. That should save celtics nation the worry of sam not having signed an extension yet.
Baylor's defense though needs alot of work. Thats another area Sam is better at. Defensive awareness and moving side to side vs. quick guards like east. He has a strong core though like grant williams which was put on display when he stonewalled jacquez drive into post-up attempts a couple of times.
In G3, i want to see baylor put on ball more instead of spacing the corner (where ramsey and even JD constantly ignore him).

It is expected to see Springer make headlines, on the Celts first game here, but Ron Harper did very minimal to sign him. Ron Harper was not a notable in yesterday's game. ( ? )

Why? The summer league is irrelevant. A bunch of players who know nothing, playing selfishly (by de facto format), doing things that they will never be allowed to do on their parent team, if they even get that far.
There are a lot of NBA quality players in the summer league who will never have the opportunity to perform at an NBA level because they have the contract status of less-than-a-practice-player. This is even more so on a stacked championship team.
Scoot Henderson LIT UP the g-league for two seasons, got drafted number 2 (or 3), and you never heard his name even mentioned last season.
Summer league participants are miles below where Henderson was and he, up to this point, has been irrelevant.
The Celtic's summer league team/players are even less relevant as none of them will ever be able to get past the 500 million dollar payroll playing in front of them.
As long as Stevens is the GM, ALL meaningful acquisitions will be in the form of veteran players who have already achieved the contract status that will allow them to fully participate in playoff/championship competition.
It may be entertaining to watch and analyze the summer league performances, but they are meaningless to the championship trajectory of this Celtic team.

Never get excited for Summer League players. Undrafted FA rarely make an impact and high draft picks don’t go all out because they don’t want to get injured before the preseason. Summer league is basically a tryout for their G league team. So always temper your enthusiasm for these players.
Don’t look at stats, look for their Basketball IQ plays and intangibles that don’t show up in stats. Such as does he hustle back after turnover, does he rotate defensively. Does he get caught looking at the ball. Does he defend properly.
If you’ve seen Bronny play, you’ll know exactly know why you don’t draft or sign players like him. He doesn’t do anything on the court that makes you think he cares o4 know how to play.

    • @qt3dot14ish
      @qt3dot14ish หลายเดือนก่อน

Summer league performance is irrelevant. The team's top 6/7 contracts get all the playing time. So you are either a premium rookie on a stacked team and MAYBE get to play, or you are a premium rookie on a garbage team and you should get some minutes, or you are not a premium rookie and you don't get to play.
First round picks get a guaranteed contract, so the summer league is the G-league tryouts for non-first round drafted players.

Jaden is slept on the same way JB was his first few years. He's also better than JB at the same age.

    • @qt3dot14ish
      @qt3dot14ish หลายเดือนก่อน

And sir, THAT IS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT.
Springer is a first round pick, so he has that status, but he was drafted #28, so basically he has just a pinch of status.
JB, on the other hand, was a premium rookie at #3.
Also, when JB was drafted, Danny Ainge was trying to get Brad Stevens fired so he had pieced together a garbage roster which opened up TONS of playing time for JB.
Springer is just a practice player, same as Baylor.
Only the team's top 6/7 contracts get to play and contribute. Then you have a few "filler" players who get some playing time, but really aren't allowed to participate. They just stand in the corner while the premium contracts garner their stats. Everyone else is just a practice player.
Springer and Baylor may get some meaningful minutes on a team, but it won't be this team nor this year.
Last season Stevens EMPHATICALLY told all the clueless people out there that "We are always looking for players to bring value to the team but know that they are not going to play."
That's the description for Springer, Baylor, Svi, Brisset, Banton, etc. These guys will never see anything meaningful in a Celtic uniform, and for all practical purposes, Walsh and this Watson dude are going to waste away their careers being low-level two-way players.
There is only minutes for seven guys, and there is only enough money for seven participatory contracts. Everyone else is just a filler player or a practice player.
