    sound for sure improved! Really appreciate these videos its taken me a bit to get into this game. but being someone who has loved and played baseball for a long time. I appreciate you making this accessible. Also back to the sound it was kind of funny I would crank this up and any commercial would like Scare the crap out of me hahaha

      Haha glad it sounds better and that the videos have been helpful. Anything I haven't covered that would be good to have a video on?

      @@OOTPaddy hmmm as of now I can't really think of anything I'm still kind of figuring out my way of evaluating and developing talent. maybe something on why a team is not doing as well you'd hoped what stats to look at to know how your team is truly doing and where your weaknesses may be? For ex: my team just won the world series and the next season we are below .500 and I'm like WTF lol

      Ah yeah, I can put together a few things I look at to figure out where the struggles may be. In terms of individual players, my video on how to evaluate players may help if you haven't seen it.

      Awesome. Thanks for letting me know, Jerry. Was it too loud? Feel like maybe you can hear my breathing a bit too much even though I wasn't sitting all that close to the mic.

      @@OOTPaddy volume is great. A bit of static type noise in the background, but the volume is much better.

      Cool, thanks for letting me know. Static could be because it’s just my internal laptop mic.

    This is really helpful. I hadn't thought to do this. Thanks for making this one!

      Sure thing. Yeah, since you can't actually have a dialogue with the other GM like you can in an online league, I found this helpful in figuring out which players in my organization the CPU GM likes and to what degree.

    There is a better way to trade players out. It looks like instead of just including the worst player available on their ask list, you threw in a player you thought would be the most valuable to them to complete the trade. Instead, just ask for more at once to drive up their demand and see what players they value more highly. You might see some of your useless players valued very highly by their organization, while some of the players you value (like your top 100 prospect) may not necessarily be so valuable to them (note that I'm not saying that prospect wasn't more valuable than the other guys available, I'm just saying you never actually found out). Ultimately, because of organizations valuing different players different ways, you don't always have to give up someone super valuable to your team like you suggested (although it is rare to get someone extremely talented without giving anything up). Everything else you did was right on spot, but just this little bit of extra will make it even less costly.

    • @OOTPaddy
      @OOTPaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I agree that's a way to do it and will generally add the least valuable player on the list. But, when trying to trade for a superstar, I will sometimes add players that aren't the least valuable because, that way, when I remove my superstar (Delgado here) they may be open to the deal still. But, the way you suggest definitely makes sense.

    • @OOTPaddy
      @OOTPaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I misread your comment initially. Yeah, also agree bumping up the retained salary piece higher is a good way to identify players they overvalue. Thanks!

    • @sgtmushroom
      @sgtmushroom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OOTPaddy Agreed. That's why you check a higher return to determine which players the other team values more highly (in this case, you'd increase the salary you're asking them to retain on Tatis to get results of more exclusive players). Basically, the way I'm saying you'd be mapping which players have the highest value to your trade partner relative to how you value them. Another way to put it, it's totally possible there's a useless (or less useful) player that you could've offered instead of your prospect to complete the trade.
      Another, alternative way to complete a trade like this is to remove a player at the end of the trade, click the "make this work now" button, and see which player on that list is the best to give up (and if it's the player you removed you'd just put him back in).

    • @OOTPaddy
      @OOTPaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, actually the way I normally do it is at the end to remove the most valuable player and make this work, like you mentioned. I thought I did this in the video but maybe I forgot to go back and do that at the end.

      good point. reminds me of yesterday yankees traded dominguez to the royals and I tried everything to get him from the yankees but none of my prospects were valued high enough and they wanted shane bieber or jose ramirez for him. When he went to the royals I ended up offering Bauers, moss, and someone else (can't remember ha) and they did the trade they seemed to really highly value bauers.....super cool cuz thats how it is in real life.

    Would you be able to do a video on how you would trade for high end prospects

    • @OOTPaddy
      @OOTPaddy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’ll probably be a bit before I do one like that for 22 since the trade AI changed. But, I’ll have a video soon on the new trade AI that will cover some of that for sure. Some of the other trade videos in my tutorial playlist may also help. Hope that helps!

    volume is a lot better. also, is there any setting you can change so the trade offers the cpu sends you aren’t so bad? I’ve never gotten a trade offer from the computer that was even worth looking at.

    • @OOTPaddy
      @OOTPaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the offers from CPU controlled teams are always bad and there’s really no way to adjust that. It can be good info for players the CPU is willing to trade or players of yours they may be interested in, but the actual offers are awful, I agree
