I chipped away on the camino in 2019! The result was a peace beyond understanding. While this may not be everlasting, it was life changing. To find the moment means for me, i already am surrounded by all that I need. Everything else is just to keep life entertaining.

❤🙏 My mom and I did Camino the same year - summer 2019. What a beautiful, inconspicuous experience this is, isn’t it? 😊 Buen Camino! 👋🕊️

How not to want more. I believe that is the entire purpose of the Bible. It started with the description of Adam….what he had…. versus what he wanted. It is worth reading, if you want to attempt to control your life…and you don’t have to go to Harvard to gain this wisdom. It’s free.

I believe in this idea but i have an argument. For people who have responsibilties or will have them in the future (of taking care of others) How do they work on wanting less? I guess the answer will be to adapt and realise where one can want less in their own situation

I stumbled into his interview, and since have listened to 5/6 episodes. Very useful tips and they have helped me reevaluate my professional career. I have jotted down a few ideas and have added a few of my own. Thanks for summarizing all the scattered literature into a coherent narrative. I think it may motivate many of us who are looking to organize our path forward as well as evaluate the past. I am on the verge of retirement, and his lectures have been very helpful to chart out a strategy.

Rejoycing over dead bocies in your plates is shameful!!!!! Go vegan and you will know real happiness!!!

Resolve to know that being alive in itself causes suffering. Even all the veggies you eat have living organisms in it. Does suffering of a worm bug on your vegetables and fruits less important than a cow?

Oh dear me, here comes the classic carnist reply!!! Lets agree to disagree and you keep abusing animals and the planet and throwing your pathetic excuses around to justify your blindness and apathy towards real suffering!@@heythave

Dr Brooks, I caught your presentation at the Utah teachers symposium this week (as a volunteer, not a teacher.)
Your message resonates with my own life experiences, both successes and failures.
Thank you for making these presentations available to those of us who can benefit without ever having the opportunity to visit Harvard. 👍
    Stay well,
    Russ

I think it’s more about appreciating what you have. Rather then bemoaning you don’t have enough or looking at others who have more and wanting what they have.
