I first came to discover Arthur in his book with Oprah. I read it in a day. I enjoyed it very much. Now a retired RN, of 38 years, I am searching for more. Somehow, I came across his book "From Strength to Strength". I finished about 30 minutes ago. I could not put in down. I was captivated. Not only what was written, but the knowledge of so many historical persons. I am now a huge fan and want to know and learn more.

Howdy sir, I just found this video because I was looking for the video of your interview with Willie Guist on Sunday Today. I did not find it; BUT, I did find this. I just gotta say THANK YOU (in caps I know) I truly thank you for sharing your time with these students an myself. I am truly amazed at hearing such a fantastic speech/delivery of info. I soooo need this info because I am struggling in life. So, thank you for sharing ❤️ I'm taking notice and hope to find your book and start to read it. Then IMPLEMENT what I read. I appreciate you teaching me. Great point too on: How can I use this in service to others? Like my mate is what I am thinking of. I'm having big troubles within my marriage. Anywho.....thank you for sharing. I truly hope the gems I am hearing right now will help us. Peace & goodwill wishes for you in your future plans. ❤❤🎉

First time to listen to this man…. 😏🤔happiness is shallow. Joy has more depth. When you are at peace with yourself & look at God as your ultimate source of joy. Not science but proven & tested. ❤

Immensely insightful. This presentation gives you one of the keys to having a meaningful life and it's no surprise that it's tied to faith and respecting and loving your friends and family more than work or things. Many, many, many conversations on TH-cam on what's wrong with me and many comments and very few focus or even mention God. 1,000 comments around and around. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God...

I believe what gets underestimated in the discourse of happiness is making peace with your environment and life situation. Our western culture has this incessant need for achievement seemingly endless need to achieve. Having dealt significantly with the culture in another country (Jamaica) they provide a contradiction to our methodology. The people there are strikingly happy and also strikingly poor. But they have made their peace with their poverty. They have nothing and don't care. The capstone of that is that they have one of the lowest suicide rates of all the earth. The USA is one of the highest. What is that? Again our driven nature to achieve. I believe it is for the most part our undoing.

The majority of videos I see on TH-cam about these kinds of topics talk about "families". What about people who don't have family? Or friends? Everybody says, "You need to turn to your family. There are people who shouldn't turn to their family because they damaged them, abused them, wrecked havoc in their mental and emotional life. There are no easy answers.

Only problem is the desire for love will get you into all kinds of problems. A lot of today's focus on achievement I think comes from a strong desire for love. I think that's why people choose to be special over being happy. Because they want to be loved. Letting go of the need to be loved is very freeing.
