Brilliant machine! this thing is way better than anything else in it's class. I love how you can dump a whole 5 gal bucket and walk away. Tailings looked spotless meaning the machine is scrubbing quite well. I could improve my operation with something like this. Not to mention that it is quite portable. This would pay for itself rather quickly. Genius!....Rob (placer miner)
The guy knows what he is doing! I to, have run my trommel with little to no angle. It cleans the material a lot better. Has always worked for me. I really wish the owner would start selling these beasts again. This thing is quality made.
Very cool..I'm gonna build one pretty soon...I'm gonna mount it on a small trailer with a 275 gallon water tank..and use a metal barrel...I'm dry washing right now but I'm sure I'm losing gold stuck on the big rocks I throw aside.
Good Work! For areas without direct water access, is it possible to reuse the water after it exits the sluice box, by filtering it and sending it back to the pump? Since your webpage does not exist anymore, do you send out plans to build this machine?
hello ..such a lovely job ..it looks amazing ... well done mate .I was wondering if you can share the making of this project with your admires on your channel . the stages how you build it and the kind of equipment you use for it . greetings from uk
fair enough :) I fully understand that .As I am looking forward to see more videos from you I would definitely consider buying from you . Good luck with work mate .cheers
Not a problem and sounds good to me I would love to see that run as high amount of dirt as possible and see how fast it chews through it because it seems like a monster but I do have a question what does the trommel classify to and how much water you putting out
Larger feeder and more water Scotty .. More water lol hell of a rig . should do a yard to a yard and a half per hour . toss Grizzly bars on it and a small excavator and your in the big time nice little system for a small scale . would love to work a little system like that . in Nome ..
That's amazing I have been looking for equipment like this for a while. What was the price of all the parts and the hoses. Would there be blueprints of this trommel?
OK so I only have one comment and it isn't bad but as a experienced miner who has built a hand cranked Rommel smaller than that and feeds it with a small four foot conveyor by a friend who feeds it 6 buckets ever ten minutes you can definitely run more dirt through that. Trommels like that were made to run as much dirt as possible and when putting two or three buckets in that hopper at once you will actually get through them in the time it took you to do one get back to me on this comment section on what you think oh and the conveyor is hand cranked to so that cuts running costs
Yep, water flow and even the angle is too much, perhaps lessening the angle is worth a try, could be the simplest solution as well as slowing down the water a tad, as there is two water inputs, the one at the trommel could be slowed, yeah? And be carefull, Keene sluices are renowned for throwing away gold nuggets. Otherwise looks good. Dean Richardson. Gold GEAR International.
1" per foot of drop, these sluices are around 3 foot long so need around 3 foot of drop, nothing gets past the first couple of riffles on mine running this much drop and the drop helps massively with clearing it, good drop and moderate water speed is better than fast water and little drop.
Dave I was running the trommel on the edge of my yard so I was using the pool to catch all the rock so it doesn't get into the grass. The sluice fines are half inch or smaller and run down over the bank and not in the lawn. I was only doing a test. Hope this helps explain. Joel
TheJogdredge hey no problem LOL here in alberta we cant discharge any sluice directly into a water course so I always have the pool on the sloppy end of my set up ...
I like the setup - but why not go electrically driven with solar charging to battery bank? I can understand it would be cost prohibitive at first, however, once you put enough pay through that wash-plant I would see it as the best long term solution to cutting cost and noise for the owner/worker.
That's it? No results after? Wow what a lame video that was definitely thumbs down and no subscription thanks for wasting my time I could have watched that anywhere
Well... You can't tell me you manufacture it yourself.. right? What I think U meant was, Its a package you bought and assembled in your garage..but this don't mean its your idea..or something built from scratch...(HOMEMADE) now does it...? So no.. its not homemade.. sorry...lol
+Dwayne Sklar They are not built from a kit, they are not purchased elsewhere, they are built by me one at a time from scratch in my garage. All of the trommels in my video's were completely built and assembled by me from parts and materials I bought, made or fabricated myself, it is also my own design not someone else's. The closest they come to being manufactured is now I have some of my parts cut out on a CNC machine at a local shop just so they are more accurate. The shop I build them in is less than 20' X 20', you should stop by sometime I will give you the grand tour, it might last 5 minutes. Joel
Interesting... you don't say... well I apologize for my input.. but they look so store bought on your vids... and well if your doing this well of a job with them.. all the power to ya...and well done, anyway sure love to check that out and what one of these days.. and what the little trommels cost?... I'm going mining in BC next season and I'm either going to make a trommel but, a bit bigger then the ones I've seen of yours.... thanks for setting me strait..
You are such a hard working man. God will bless you........................Angie
Very nicely engineered and fabricated. Quality gear you are building there!
Very nice trommel.

Thanks for the great comments Rob.
You could use the vibration of the motor to make the input platform vibrate for better washing off the paydirt. A great construction.
I saw this a long time ago, your video. Before I ever had a channel or a way to comment. Thanks for making it!
damn nice unit! looks to be very well constructed
Cool I want 1. Thanks for sharing your story
Check the rocks that get out of the Trommel, usually gold ore in some of them
What a gorgeous thing.
Sweet! That Trommel is AWESOME. Great Job!
Adam Graves he should have his trommel on more of an angle so he can get rid if the rock
The guy knows what he is doing! I to, have run my trommel with little to no angle. It cleans the material a lot better. Has always worked for me. I really wish the owner would start selling these beasts again. This thing is quality made.
T
thats a nice trommel. slow it down, extend your sleuce as mentioned...but its nice and cleanly built.
Need bit more water pressure in your hopper to move more dirt and separate heavies quicker all in all good work.
Very cool..I'm gonna build one pretty soon...I'm gonna mount it on a small trailer with a 275 gallon water tank..and use a metal barrel...I'm dry washing right now but I'm sure I'm losing gold stuck on the big rocks I throw aside.
Did build it from plans ?Great job...
that's a nice rock washer, wish i had one
With miners moss on the inside mixed with a rock crusher combo some how your hired.
What a beautiful machine.

Looks like a master piece to me.
Do you have any videos of you making your homemade trommel wash plant? That would make a nice video.
very nice you did an excellent job.

One other thing? Could you connect the trommel to a ATV. How many cubic yards would it move? Or could I buy one already made? If so what is the cost?
Wow, that is a great thing man. Awesome, very, very nice!!!

Wow Nice Dredge!!!
👍👍👍
you should add 2 water hose adjustments where those bolts in the upper box are two spray down material angle it 45 deg both sides and wash faster.
cool im making a shaker table out of a car port that i got for free lol but that seems alot of work went into it !
That's a very nice looking trommel for being homemade. Master at work.
How's it been going after all these years?
Not a problem and sounds good to me I would love to see that run as high amount of dirt as possible and see how fast it chews through it because it seems like a monster but I do have a question what does the trommel classify to and how much water you putting out
That looks awesome!
Would like to have seen cleanup!

I do like you mini Trommel
Hi nice to meet you
I'm interested with nice trommel sluice box.
Where too buy one?
Nice video, really cool.
But i wonder, what happens to the nuggets bigger then the holes in the trommel?
That's amazing I have been looking for equipment like this for a while. What was the price of all the parts and the hoses. Would there be blueprints of this trommel?
How many cubic meters per hour? What is the fuel consumption?
Love it. Nice and simple.
good work. the first 4 minutes are riveting!!!! 😆
Nice Job !!!!! How's it working ?
ingenious work.
Do you have shots of how the engine and belts/gears are set up?
OK so I only have one comment and it isn't bad but as a experienced miner who has built a hand cranked Rommel smaller than that and feeds it with a small four foot conveyor by a friend who feeds it 6 buckets ever ten minutes you can definitely run more dirt through that. Please where can I get this product am watching from Nigeria
I think it's too much water (too fast) the gold will probably wash out...
Just what I was thinking
Nice fabrication, hope you find the AU
On the engine water and dirt doesn't get? Can some protection is necessary?
Todd Hoffman would be proud.
Works perfectly
Love it
I'll take 1
mine is question does this machine used for Platinum mining
You need a third nozzel ,but I still like it.
Nice setup! I'm stealing it!
What Is the cost?
How come it says Keene on it if it's homemade?
Good job.
How much did it cost?
This is really nice, solid and clean, good work. I made one that is shifty as fu8k in comparison, but it gets gold so I don't really care =)
that is awesome man.
Can you make one so i can buy one form you i have a plan to go gold hunting next year while camping
pregunta como cuantos dolares cuesta esa maquina y donde puedo conseguir una soy Dominican

Were can i get one?
what is the price for this machine
price please ??
isn't the keene sluice box suppose to be 1 inch tilt for each length of it? It looks like you have it tilted so low you would lose gold.
jim

Don’t you mean 3” of drop
and not 3’...?
oldbonesbushcraft Rod Jackson
Thanks for the reply...!
Have a great day and be blessed.
Nice looks good any gold ?
Just one question LOL why the kids swimming pool under the rock output and not the sluice .. just wondering
Dave

Same here.
Saludo en que país venden este tipo.de máquina.

Thanks Mr Delta Man.
Homemade it looks like a Keene?
Its very nice..... tell me Price ?
I can build u one for 8000
w0w nice job.
where do i get one? Im currently in Africa
Best use i have ever seen for roller blade wheels. Well done thats one off the streets.
@@TheJogdredge Please can I get a quote for this to be used in Nigeria ugarambunde@gmail.com
Thanks Thomas.
TheJogdredge put a spray bar in the trommel which will help clean the gold off and into the sluice
Show me the money! Where is the gold?
*I can tell you right now your sluice is NOT Long Enough... Your Loosing Gold out the end of it 100% Guaranteed !!*
I was thinking the same thing with that water pressure he’s definitely washing fine gold out maybe ideal down the pressure it will be fine
@@jammy46235 I was thinking the same when the water is dirty you know gold is flying with it
This is most likely a test run to make sure it works
Why not use 5 lbs of lead shot to test it,if you recover all the shot you sure ain't losing gold.
the website domain doesn't exist.
Any chance you want to sell your sluicebox?
how much do you charge to make them.
I could make you around 8,000
Thanks heaps
what size pump do i need how much does it need to pump?
+TheJogdredge ok thank u
An the gold?
Nice rig but all that water would kill my yard lol
How much is it?
Please contact me as soon as possible.
How can I order one
imagine setting up 5 or 6 of this around African Mini Gold Pits to cut operational costs down ummmmmm now that smells like a pot of gold LOL
Kanus King spoken like a true capitalist lol
what is yards per hour thanks
Thank you love unit I'll buy one soon
water is hitting the sluice box to fast
Nice. I want
satisfying
Hello
Home made? Why does it say J.O.G. Mining LLC and Keene on it?
takes forever for just one scoop
id put anothe kids pool at the end of the sluice to collect wat is falling off
Way too much water!
That's it? No results after? Wow what a lame video that was definitely thumbs down and no subscription thanks for wasting my time I could have watched that anywhere
Fack off
Good for nothing.
HAHA... home made my ass... nice try
so building them in my garage doesn't count as homemade?
Well... You can't tell me you manufacture it yourself.. right? What I think U meant was, Its a package you bought and assembled in your garage..but this don't mean its your idea..or something built from scratch...(HOMEMADE) now does it...? So no.. its not homemade.. sorry...lol
