I’m a 64 year old white male grew up in Los Angeles, I was a teenager when Sanford and Son came out and it was my favorite show. Like everybody at that time You laughed with Fred G.Sanford. It was a comedy show if you didn’t like it don’t watch it. I didn’t get offended when police officer Smitty, Partners were white and goofy. It was funny I laughed with them and at them. Another great show was “Chico and the Man”
Made it to the end! My face hurts too! Nothing like a good laugh from my younger days. This is why I miss the old days. Nobody was offended. It was all in fun and everybody knew it. 💕
Oh man this show & so many more. The Jeffersons, Laverne & Shirley, three's company, Alice& Mork & Mindy... those were good shows . Still on TV for most part. Also married with children & two and a half men
Aww man! I grew up with this. So funny. We would sit down as a family and watch Sandford & Son and laugh our butts off. It was always special to see Esther.
Sanford and Son was my favorite show then and now. I have DVD's of entire seasons. Redd Foxx was so talented. When Lawanda Page and Redd Foxx did a scene together, it was epic. The show is a true classic.
“Aunt Esther” was in the movie “Friday” by Ice Cube. She was going to his house to witness and then ended up dropping the f bomb. It was hilarious if you knew her from this show
One of the best damn shows of the 70s n the undisputed king of raunchy comedy still watch the show n still listen to the comedy albums. Nice choice Mr.Adogg..Excellent taste.
Oh goodness! The Aunt Esther/ Fred interactions were the best! Wanda Paige was one of few actors who could go toe-to-toe with Redd Foxx and not be intimidated or overshadowed!
"Sanford & Son" is such an iconic show. Red Foxx was wonderful in his portrayal of "Fred Sanford." (By the way, Red Foxx is a stage name and Sanford is his actually last name.) I don't even think you could do this show today because people get offended so easily.
We never missed an episode. Always funny. But the funniest line I ever heard was when Fred was being his usual horrible self to poor ol’ Ester and he told her that she was so ugly that she could stick her face down in dough and make gorilla cookies. Don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. lol
So glad you, and so many other younger people are discovering and enjoying classic great ridiculously funny shows such as Sanford and son! Look forward to it every week, back in the day. Many decades later, my very favorite Fred Sanford rip on Esther was, “You’re so ugly, I could throw some tracing paper over your head, and draw me a moose face!” 😆😆😆 Keep up the great discovering, & (Hopefully) enjoying! 😁
I really liked episodes where Fred’s buddy, Grady Wilson shows up. If I remember correctly there is an episode where Grady gets Aunt Esther a bit drunk and raucous.
We never missed this show when I was growing up...One of the true ironies of Fred always calling Ester ugly was that in her younger days Ester {I cannot remember her real name right now] was a burlesque queen....
Yes! My head hurts from laughing so much! More of this, please! Awesome stuff, and the fact that a young guy like you can appreciate this is proof of its immortality. Long Live Fred Sanford...and of course, Aunt Esther (wouldn't wanna piss her off, she can be mean, lol).
If you're going to start doing classic TV reactions, you MUST do "All in the family". With Archie Bunker. To this day, it's still one of the funniest shows to ever be on tv. 😄📺
Loved this show. I still watch the reruns today. Redd Foxx and LaWanda Page had been friends since childhood, and she was his first and only choice to play Esther.
Made it to the end with no problem .This use to be my favourite show back in day. Thanks for the great reaction video and by all means bring on more episodes.
Sanford and Son started out as Steptoe and Son,I believe. A British comedy about the same as Sanford, a junk dealer and his son. It never caught on in the UK. I've always enjoyed Sanford and Son. Good, light hearted comedy, when people were normal.
1 of My all time top 5 FAVORITE TV Shows. Red Fox & Demond Wilson were AWESOME. You really should check out some 3 Stoogies shows some time ADogg. My favorite line by Aunt Ester was WATCH IT SUCKA 😂😂😂😂😂 and Fred's many many the G stands for, whatever was required for the skit. If you can watch Sanford & Son without laughing youre not alive😂😂😂😂😂Great review Bud.
Note, I didn’t know what a racist was until It was shown, to me, if your an a$$ in general I don’t care what color you are. It’s not a thing in my heart. Act a fool no matter what color you are you’ll see what’s what.
Sandford and Son was one of my favorite tv shows when I was young. I never missed an episode. We had the best shows when I was growing up. Did you know, Redd named his character Fred G. Sanford, after his brother, who died at the age of forty-six? 💖💖
Part 2 please. I was 14 when this show came out and it was must watch TV. All In The Family came out in 71 when I was 13. Both were must watch TV every week. Check out All In The Family also. Archie Bunker, like Fred G. Sanford were both brutal. I remember watching these shows with my parents and them laughing and laughing. My father's face would turn red with laughter. Great fond memories for me from a slower, simpler time when people of all races got that it was comedy and we all laughed. Unlike today where everything is you can't say that because it's offensive or my feelings are hurt. Congratulations America, we are now a nation of over sensitive pussies ! ☮️✌️💕👌
When I was little (8ish) me and my sister would sneak my Dad's double vinyl album of Redd Fox and listen, he was a dirty dirty man, but so funny, we would always get in trouble, but it was worth it. When we got older, we would just say our sex education teacher was REDD FOX....
I love Sandford and Son. Back in the day when people could actually laugh and not get offended.
Back then the words were said with humor…. Not anger & hatred!
Hallelujah and Amen, one of the best comedy shows of all time. When I'm feeling down, I watch some of these episodes and I FEEL Better!😂
Yes
The trick to dealing with the offended is to not give a s***.
@@captaincell Uhhh….. Ok Cartoon lol.
Their interactions were definitely some of the best moments on the show!! 🤣

Breaking all boundaries. Respect to Norman Lear and all others who depicted life.
When I was in highschool all my friends would come over after school and watch Sanford and Son reruns. He was so hilarious. Miss those days.

Sanford and Son played a big part in my childhood my daddy and papa loved it❤

One of the best damn shows of the 70s n the undisputed king of raunchy comedy still watch the show n still listen to the comedy albums. Nice choice Mr.Adogg..Excellent taste.
Fred and Esther performed together in the 50s. Their timing and ability to stay in character was nothing shy of a miracle.
Oh goodness! The Aunt Esther/ Fred interactions were the best! Wanda Paige was one of few actors who could go toe-to-toe with Redd Foxx and not be intimidated or overshadowed!
They were great friends for many years.
Yea childhood friends grew up together
Not many American households missed watching Sanford & Son each week. I know I watched it every week because it was just too funny to miss.
"Sanford & Son" is such an iconic show. Red Foxx was wonderful in his portrayal of "Fred Sanford." (By the way, Red Foxx is a stage name and Sanford is his actually last name.) I don't even think you could do this show today because people get offended so easily.
look for the poker game sanford and son where fred calls lamont dummy like 10 different ways... that one just tears me up every time.
Loved watching this back in the 70s when I was a kid. Still love watching this show. Omg it was and still is funny
Aunt Esther and Fred were the best. In real life they were great friends.
I loved watching that show! And especially Fred and Ester. That's when tv was good! Thank you for showing this video!
LaWanda Page was a Brilliant Comedic Actress! RIP LAWANDA 🥰
As a kid in the 70s I loved this show and watched it every day for years. Including all the reruns.
One of the best shows ever, when fred said to Esther, Esther I'll press your face in some dough and make gorilla cookies, i couldn't stop laughing..
I still watch this show, HAHAHA!! Fred and Aunt Esther, 🤣🤣🤣🤣! UPDATE: I'm crying and dying over here! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Esther and Fred were friends and both did stand up comedy before this show. He suggested her for this role.
there were so many killer shows back in the 70's. they had to rely on good scripts, great actors, and great chemistry.
Redd Foxx is a legend! This is one of greatest shows ever! And fun fact - Redd Foxx's real name was John Sanford.
Fred G. Sandford was his way of keeping his deceased brother around and never forgotten.
This was one of the funniest sitcoms ever.
I watched this when I was little. Hilarious. “Elizabeth, I’m coming!”
These shows were made before hurt feelings got involved! Great show!
One of the best shows ever... when ppl knew the difference between a laugh and being hurtful......
Man I loved this show so much I had it on 8 track, yes 8 track. I’d listen in my room and LMAO!

Growing up this was my favorite show! Please show part 2!!
Fred vs. Aunt Esther and Archie Bunker vs. 'Meathead' is comedy gold. When comedy was comedy without having to be politically correct.
Redd and LaWanda were lifelong friends in real life, they met in elementary school.
Oh man I grew up watching this show!! So fun!!😂😂😂
We never missed this show when I was growing up...One of the true ironies of Fred always calling Ester ugly was that in her younger days Ester {I cannot remember her real name right now] was a burlesque queen....

Sanford and Son and Good Times are two of my favorite shows from the 70s. My wife and attended a Redd Foxx concert in Chicago in the 70s.

As much as it hurts me as a Bengals fan I approve of this video
My favorite character was Grady. Talk about funny. 🤣
I heard Ester and Fred were life long great friends.
