What a presentation! The best advert for Britain I have ever heard. I should be 100 times more grateful than I am for living here, and Vanessa should be on the mainstream media every day, presenting this and more.
There's a proverb created in the Lake District that says... 'There's no such thing as bad weather. Only bad clothing.' A place where you can experience every season in a single day.
Amazing. I would never have guessed that you are Austrian. I have known a few German/Austrian people in my life and you could always detect the German accent when they spoke English. Your accent is perfect. I really think you must have been British in a previous life. I'm British and didn't realize how much I loved it here until I lived and worked in the USA for 12 years. Just as you said, you can get anywhere really quickly in the UK. We have over 11,000 miles of coastline and the variety of places is insane. We have beautiful countryside, beaches, villages, towns and cities etc. I'll never forget returning for a holiday to the UK during my first year working in the USA. As soon as I got off the plane at Manchester, the freshness of the air just blew me away. It's small things like that which make a huge difference.
Vanessa, you and your videos, are a ray of sunshine in this difficult time. Clearly you are happy to be in Britain and Britain is lucky to have you. Long may you enjoy the British experience.
I am a Brit who lives in the south of France and after watching this video i am now feeling homesick, after living away from the UK now for 14 years this christmas i would have sold my great granny for a traditional British christmas dinner. I don't normally miss back home but i think this lockdown has been playing games with me and made me think of all the things i miss from back home, we may have some wonderful food here in France but a French christmas dinner isn't a patch on a UK christmas dinner. There is just no comparison.
Turkey, chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce, bread sauce, sprouts, roast parsnip, carrots, roast and mashed potatoes and Gravy followed by Xmas pudding with Brandy sauce and mince pies and cream for me
They should make you British Ambassador to Austria - you sold me on the place and I'm British and live here. Nice reminder in these lockdown times of some of the great things here. Cheers!
Hi Vanessa New convert to your channel and have just binge watched most of your videos. What can I say that everyone else has already said. I am a proud Brit proud of our heritage. We are so lucky to have you Your take on British life is so humbling to watch. You should be an Ambassador for British Tourism. You are Britishly funny, have a love and respect for our country. Long may you continue to live hear. Keep those videos coming. ❤️
i live in scotland and always drivng about to go for long hill walks and forest walks. went down to lake district couple yrs ago and was so mesmerised but the walks views and vast countryside. hopin to bk down to york and nottingham this yr. anywhere with lots of history to go see and walk through is my kinda heaven and holiday
Thank you for reminding me what we have here and seeing it with a fresh pair of eyes too. I love that you speak about Scotland, Wales and England and of places you have travelled to and not just about the south or London. Haworth in Yorkshire is where the Brontes lived and is worth a visit.
Dear Vanessa, love your channel. You mentioned Britains contribution to modern music which has been incredible and we love you for that. I would be interested to see your reaction to "Love of my life" Queen live at Wembley 1986. Thank you xx
Vanessa, You are not hard to look at. A very Beautiful, Attractive young Lady. But , You are also a Beam of light. I like your Vlogs, Because you Do them well. You always Brighten my day. And i am a older Guy. Keep being you, And Keep Being a lovely Person.
You are right about slough...ha ha. I love how you love this odd little island, the fact you have visited so many. Well done for attempting the Welsh town. Oh and you are so right about Fish and chips in Whitby... the best 👍❤️
Thank you for the video. You mention Yorkshire but York itself is incredible I have been there four times and still haven't touched the surface of its history. Accents I can go 10 miles from my home Stafford and find completely different accents and ways of talking so much so that I don't understand a word they are saying. Brilliant video, keep up the good work.
I think you may have put 5 videos worth of content into this one. Really interesting, makes me proud of my heritage. When we can get out again you should use this video as a base for 5/6 with visits to locations, having tea and or breakfast. Thank you for this today.
I do love this channel, I was wondering what 1999's Denise Richards was doing these days. Anyway, the UK is lucky to have you here. Glad you feel this way 😊
Eloquent & prosaic as always. As others have pointed out, it’s good that you have actually taken the time to visit the cities & counties you talk of. There’s no doubt that the U.K. has some exceptional characteristics, such as diversity of people, landscapes, sub cultures & so on, rounded off with amazing history & architecture of the times. If you haven’t, you really ought to visit the Isle of Wight, a microcosm of U.K. history in all its glory. Best wishes 🙂👍
Only just discovered your channel. So nice to find someone who lives here from another country and has embraced the UK. P.S you should ask the British Tourist Board for a job you are doing a great job showing people more to the UK than London
Fantastic to see you visiting all around and not just a London/Southern based approach. You missed Penistone from the list and would love to see how you say squirrel.
"There are literary four l's next to each other." That quote made my day! Enjoyable and informative upload. I have a quote for you: "Such as we are made of, such we be." - William Shakespeare. Love the hair again. Liked.
Next time you get to Manchester (post covid) there are some lovely little tea rooms in the northern quarter that do a fantastic afternoon tea. They also have their own specific tea blends (something to suit every palate)... Also, rain stops at the skin, what's your problem with walking in the rain? It can be beautiful in its own way.
Really look forward to Tuesdays, never know what gem you are going to come up with. If you are ever in the West Country you should visit Castle Coombe, a village close to my Town. Keep up the good work.
It’s great how you’ve taken the time to travel through Britain unlike other vloggers from other countries who never seem to explore more than a few miles from their base. For such a small country, 45 times smaller than the US, yes, we have great sights and sounds. Coming from Austria, weren’t there any British English schools for you to study at ?
You should go to Cornwall and see the Minack Theatre Going for an evening show that they put on being Dracular and seeing the moon shinning on the water is breath taking! I even got Dracula's autograph ! :o
Yes, BRITAIN is a writer's heaven. Great you Remembered too the genius of the incredible success of BRITISH music on the world stage! The BEATLES, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Elton John, The Who, The Kinks, Oasis, The Police, The Eurythmics, and many, many more!! BRITISH music ROCKS!
Your deffo a top, top bird. English Breakfast and brown HP source is food of the GODS, also I make an annual pilgrimage to Brighton whilst living on the edge of the Cotswolds! Dog and Bone is 'Phone' in rhyming slang by the way although I do not celebrate tea, my celebration is with alcohol lol..................peace and keep up the good work! :))))))))))))))))))))
have you thought of a career in the British Tourist Board ? lol you make so many good points abd also let people know there is more to the UK than London!! i live in the Miclands and i can get into the country in less than 20 mins, bet Londoners cant say that !! take care and keep up the good work xx
One is not supposed to use the whole rhyme with Cockney slang. It's a code. So would be 'dog' in the "jam' etc. Best is "Aris" for backside. Aistottle =bottle + bottle and glass= Arse. I think that's once removed ?
I’ve been to Britain a couple of times, both business and pleasure, but i just got to come and see the old colonies of the Norse. To take the tourist thing. One week? Two weeks? I dunno, better wait with buying my return ticket.
this video made me reappreciate this little north Atlantic island. shout out to home county Yorkshire and Whitby chips and fish (yeah i went there lol)
I live in Castleford witch is an ancient Roman town just outside of Leeds witch is a great city lots to do and see. And not far from York witch is really old.
An excellent list. We really do pack a lot in to a pretty small island, oh, and Northern Ireland. And I can agree, I've been to most of the places you mentioned, lovely all. Oh dear though, and i hope you don't get to much stick, but the New Forest, in NEW Hampshire. No, just Hampshire, haha. It's still a long way from the New World. BTW, isn't it annoying 'when you leave your phone in the car' Great vid.
What a presentation! The best advert for Britain I have ever heard. I should be 100 times more grateful than I am for living here, and Vanessa should be on the mainstream media every day, presenting this and more.

Thank you Michael! So kind!!!! x
Vanessa we love you. Your English is fab and you appreciate us.
This is the first time I've watched your videos. . . The brown sauce comment was telling, that's something only a true native would say lol :)
A praise for English cakes from an Austrian is high praise indeed :)
Thank you. You make me happy!
They should make you British Ambassador to Austria - you sold me on the place and I'm British and live here. Nice reminder in these lockdown times of some of the great things here. Cheers!
I agree!

Hi
Yay "legendary" Nottingham!
Be sure to check out the Robin Hood tour, ironically he's Scottish!

Hi
I think she mentioned Northern Ireland too.
@@Warriorking.1963 My apologies to Northern Ireland.
Wow, I've only just discovered your channel recently, surprised to see you comment on my home village, Polperro ❤ Great content!
New favourite vlogger - just because you said best fish and chips is in Whitby. Finally, someone who understands good fish and chips!
I second that👍😎
Dear Vanessa, love your channel. You mentioned Britains contribution to modern music which has been incredible and we love you for that. I would be interested to see your reaction to "Love of my life" Queen live at Wembley 1986. Thank you xx
Bonus points for travelling to Manchester in my eyes =)
Sometimes we don't get mentioned enough up north.
thank you.

Yep, I live a few miles outside of Slough and I avoid it like the plague.
Hi
Give this girl a badge, very impressive 👍🏻
I live 5 minutes away from Ramsbottom and I never realised it was a funny name until now 😂
Thanks for a good positive video, we could all do with cheering up during these difficult times.
Thank you for reminding me of all the amazing things about being British/living in Britain! I think I needed that reminder now more than ever! :)
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live here, thanks for that gentle nudge to remind me😁
Damn ! I hope you are getting paid by the U.K. Tourist Board for this. Nicely done !
Thank you for the video. You mention Yorkshire but York itself is incredible I have been there four times and still haven't touched the surface of its history. Your voice is so soothing! You would be amazing at voiceovers or on meditation apps!
Aww thank you Emily! 🥰
You're definitely right about the fish and chips in Whitby. To die for.
She's right about Slough. Pronunciation and character.
A good video, reminded me of happier times, thank you.
Ah Sir David Attenburgh the man with finest of belgian milk chocolate voices! could listen to the man all day, a national treasure!
I think you may have put 5 videos worth of content into this one. Really interesting, makes me proud of my heritage. When we can get out again you should use this video as a base for 5/6 with visits to locations, having tea and or breakfast. Thank you for this today.
You should check out (via photos at the moment though) Portmeirion in Wales. The TV series The Prisoner was filmed there.
I do love this channel, I was wondering what 1999's Denise Richards was doing these days.

The best things come in small packages and the UK does have so many wonderful and varied attractions, something for everyone. Thanks for a fab video.
Oh waw ... I love all the writers u mentioned.. and by the way u look amazing.. beautifully shining !
I'm a new convert to your channel and am really enjoying your content.
If we didn't walk in the rain we'd only leave our houses 20 times a year!
Only just discovered your channel. So nice to find someone who lives here from another country and has embraced the UK. P.S you should ask the British Tourist Board for a job you are doing a great job showing people more to the UK than London
York is a city what is worth a day trip, and spring is coming soon it might be worth having a walk in some nearby bluebell woods
You appreciated the afternoon tea ☕️ 🧁 Well done 👏👏👏 great video 👍🏴 🇬🇧
I will now make you a fellow Brit due to your services to Great Britains people and culture !

Hey, u enumerated superbly
Really look forward to Tuesdays, never know what gem you are going to come up with. If you are ever in the West Country you should visit Castle Coombe, a village close to my Town.
Keep up the good work.
Can't wait to visit Castle Combe Martin, it's on my list! Thank you!
That is 2 places, Castle Coombe, near Bath and Coombe Martin in North Devon. Come see them both it's great in the West country..
If you haven’t been already, I highly recommend taking a walk in Snowdonia National Park (once we open our border back up to England)
You should visit Port Meirion in North Wales. Beautiful, quirky place that was the setting for the TV series The Prisoner.
I have the exact same mirror in my living room. PS LFC, not Manchester. Ha ha. Love you gorgeous....xxxxxx
Loved this, thanks 😘. And thanks for bigging up my Home town, Manchester, and mentioning Polperro, scene of many an idyllic childhood holiday for me!
All the praise and hailing weren't enough, you had to express your bitter resentment towards her mostly-American English.
@@abdullahdyab5404 WHAT?
Lovely, sometimes need to be reminded of how amazing Britain is . ❤❤❤
This video covers a lot of ground. Who could possibly argue with any of it. Well done. Looking forward to more.
Accents change within a few miles where I live up north. You can tell which town someone is from, based on their accent.
Great video. The New Forest however is just in plain old regualr Hampshire - not New Hampshire :)
What happen to 'See you next Tuesday'? Use to always make me chuckle
Don't forget East Anglia - the north Norfolk Coast is great and we have seals.
Brown paper bags, wrapped up with strings. Just an infinite variety of favourite things.
You should go to Cornwall and see the Minack Theatre Going for an evening show that they put on being Dracular and seeing the moon shinning on the water is breath taking! I even got Dracula's autograph ! :o

If you like walking, head out to the North Norfolk coast, it's beautiful. Great video once again. Keep them coming.
Love those big, open, North Sea skies all the way from East Anglia, through Lincs. Yorkshire, Durham, Northumberland and Midlothian
You forgot me 😎 on your list of amazing UK things to see and do!!
People from the U S talk of visiting the Ocean but very little of the UK borders an ocean, we are surrounded seas though.
