    how do you know to set the hook when you do? rod doesn't bend at all and you hook set

      haha cool. this technique is killer in Belmar Inlet, Manasquan inlet try it out.

      hahah yeah korkers are what you need or a really long net to get those big fluke

      same here, i fell while wearing my korkers, fishinng jetties are dangerous but can be very worth it

    Wow, great video as always. Just got into fishing for Fluke this season from the surf. I'm still looking for the perfect rod reel combo. I like to use 3/4 oz bucktail with 4'" Gulp Minnow and 12" above that I tie a dropper loop and use a 3/0 bait holder hook with 4" Gulp as well. Will the rod/reel combo that you are using would be good for this application? Thanks!

      Thanks bro! Yeah this set up would probably be perfect up to 3/4 but if you want to fish heavier then probably a Heavy Fast Action would be better instead of Medium Fast Action like this setup.

    Nice I tried at the mouth of the Westport River the other day for fluke and caught a lot of sea robins 1 scup and 1 nine inch fluke

    what determines big strippers in an area? Have you found any limitations to UL or L surf fishing?

      haha yeah a lot of people are prob going to be like wtf is that haha but its my home made gopro pole for my kayak but also to get cool underwater releases of fish. I obviously did not use it in this video. Thanks Tight lines!

      everything is listed in the description but 20lb Green Moss Power Pro Braid, and a 15lb Seaguar Fluoro Leader. Tight Lines!
