      Not to mention the citadel paints will no doubt partially dry out wasting even more paint which the dropper bottles wont.

    I preordered the Adventurer's paint set, mostly to get the Minsc & Boo mini. I'll try out the paint, too.
    I don't agree that you should squeeze out the medium that settles at the top. Just shake to remix the paint.

      I didn't bother to view past the statement that craft paints are "terrible for your miniatures." Just.. wow. It's in there for a reason to be his "specialized formula" miniature paint, and he just squeezes it out?

      So true. The heavier pigments settle at the bottom and the lighter paint mediums like flow improver, acrylic solvent and matte medium separate at the top. They are in there for a reason.

      if you haven't received it yet, you can get the minsc figure direct from Gale Force Nine. The owlbear in the monster set on the other hand, may be limited to only the larger paint set (only reason i got the paint set, plus i dont mind trying out new paint brands).
      I will say the owl bear, while cool, isnt the best detailed figure and maybe cause its not limited (it will be part of each monster paint set) while most GF9 models are 1500 or 2500 limited runs. The feathers dont have the thin featther details on them. these feathers are similar to the plastic feathers on the Magnus the Red plastic primarch model from GW. (i havent seen the plastic lord of change up close so not sure what that is like).
      Since this is a resin figure, i was hoping it would have fine details like other GF9 models (their demogorgon for example), or Forgeworld models, or Mierce, etc... oh well. I dont have an owlbear, so i liked this one.

    says the paint wont come out if you knock it over but you did not edit the part where the paint came out.

    You mentioned something that I've noticed (having subscribed for awhile, then unsubscribed, and now I'm back)... I used to enjoy seeing the man behind the myth and the room with your cool models chillin' in the background. Like you were living the hobbies, not just talking about them. A change of shots gives context. Just a thought.

    dude the ads a bit excessive come on. I know you need to make money but does there have to be an ad every 3 minutes? I bet youd make more ad revenue with less, because i know for myself I'm just not watching anymore vids from you because of it, im sure if i feel that way plenty of others do.

      The whole thing is an ad, man. He probably got paid to make this video. Considering how little he knows about the product, he clearly isn't doing it because of how much he loves it.

    Sorry, but I'm going to call you out on your misinformation. Spending more money for something that is formulated out of the bottle for mini painting just for the ease of use is fine, but that doesn't mean the base paint is useless. Acrylic paint is acrylic paint. Experiment and learn the formula for thinning regular cheap craft paint, and you won't have to purchase overpriced miniature paint. How do you think Army Painter, Citadel, P3 and such make their paints?

      Yeah, i know what you mean.. especially for Warhammer or for painting a specific army..ie Germans or Russians for Bolt Action.
      Here i have found a local mixer guy that you order a specific ral category paint.
      2.18-4.00£ for 50mls and he can mix literally any colour for that price for me(and he asks for desired consistency too). And i can get a very cheap thinner from him ..
      Bonus or negative is that its a car paint so if i paint it, its on there forever(enamel,acrylics,or alkyd paints).

    Seriously? Squeeze the medium out??? This is such an irresponsible advice!
    Most types of paint, acrylics included separate. You must shake the bottle till all parts become mixed again. Never, ever throw away the medium. Your paint will become like a sludge and then unworkable.

    • @notyos
      @notyos 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm pretty sure that even Army Painter said themselves that you squeeze the medium out.

    • @lunaticzouzouna
      @lunaticzouzouna 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@notyos Once more. You do not throw the medium away. I would suggest reading a bit more on how acrylics are made and how to handle.

    • @notyos
      @notyos 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lunaticzouzouna idk dude, if the creators of the paints tell you to squeeze the medium out, I think you should listen
