I think years later Frank Nelson was remembering this routine in a radio interview and he said it was a total dud. Admittedly the audience seems to be more respectful of it than laughing out loud like they did the first time they did this routine with "Tennessee Waltz".
Back when comedy was funnny and not just out to run people down or be gratuitously profane. ... They don't make 'em like Jack and his like anymore, that's forr sure.
