Emerging from the ever-evolving world of Free Love, Lugas Europ delivers Horse Manure (Savoury Version)-a raw, percussive HEAVY DISCO transmission. Fusing the sweat-drenched urgency of early 2000s bands like The Rapture, the dub-inflected minimalism of Greenock’s own Robert Rental, the industrial funk of Crash Course in Science, and the warped groove of Black Devil Disco Club, the track distills a stripped-back yet relentless momentum. Jagged basslines, urgent rhythms, and hypnotic textures collide, pushing forward with uneasy propulsion.
Out Friday, 31st January on Full Ashram Records, Horse Manure arrives alongside an alternative Sweet Version edit. Cryptic yet direct, its lyrics-"Horse manure, acid and pepper spray / Heavy on my eyes, hard for you to swallow"-capture a detached unease, circling within its tight, relentless structure.
Recorded at Full Ashram Celestial Garden in Glasgow, Horse Manure marks the first in a series of forthcoming releases from Lugas Europ. Beyond his own music, he also directs GLOSS, the UK’s first non-profit, artist-led electronic music library.
