I went through early onset Alzheimer’s with my dad when he was 61, I know how hard this is. Keep all your memories of her close to your heart throughout this journey, it helped me on the days that were super tough. I am praying for you and your mother and your whole family. Sending hugs ❤

I'm almost 40 and I still have a full set of grandparents and I've never ever missed a Christmas without them (aside from Covid). They're my world and I'm so excited to go home to them next month! I have a 4yo little girl and she loves her great grandparents so much!
This holiday season I am most excited to spend time with my family FINALLY. The past few years we have had lots of trouble getting everyone together in the same place. This year is even more special because my amazing grandfather currently has breast cancer and is fighting hard to beat it. We are all coming together to celebrate and support him 😃

I always look forward to decorating. It makes the home feel warm inviting and cozy. The soft glow of the lights with a fireplace scented candle brigs a calm over me through the harsh MN winters.
The more my kids grow the more excited they get for Christmas, and that just makes me happy! Plus now we are picking our our decor for Christmas and that's been fun to pick out as a family.

My favorite thing about holidays, both Thanksgiving and Christmas, is just seeing the kids get so excited, but also not being in a rush and truly spending time together and making memories with the family. Christmas is my favorite holiday, not because of the gift but because I love seeing how beautiful my city and my mom house get decorated and how I spend that quality time helping my mom decorate, life is so short and those memories are so special to me and now I’m a mom so my kids help and I’m glad my kids can have those memories and their happy faces when they see Christmas light and the Christmas tree light up every night. The thing I look forward to most around Christmas time is taking my kids to see the Christmas lights. Their eyes light up with excitement and joy every time. We love drinking hot cocoa while we walk the light shows. Getting to see the Christmas magic through their eyes is the most precious thing.
