RIP to the Canadian Voice actors Norm Spencer, David Hemblen, Don Francks, John Colicos, Rick Bennett the OGs for Cyclops, Magneto, Sabertooth, Apocolypse and Juggernaut.

@@kryten09 Ray Chase who voices him now is honoring Norm Spencer. Originally Iona Morris was cast as Storm and appeared in all 13 episodes for season 1, but season 2 and onwards Alison-Sealy Smith took over. I don't remember the exact details but something pertaining to tax, but Iona Morris did return to voice Storm in the Secret Wars storyline in Spiderman: The Animated Series. She also voiced Medusa in Fantastic Four: The Animated Series for the Inhumans storyline.
I knew about the Deaths of voice actors of Cyclops Magento and Sabertooth but I did not know about the original voice actors of Apocalypse and Juggernaut thanks for the info

@@DC3328 Dude that's Cal Dodd the original voice actor for Logan/Wolverine from X-Men: The Animated Series returning to the role. Also Hugh Jackman has stated that when preparing to play Logan/Wolverine for the live action film(s) he listened to Cal Dodd's voiceover performance constantly to get into the mindset of Wolverine.
I rewatched the Xmen Animated series as an adult. I noticed characters have "attitude" which gives them more depth. I hope they still have it. Especially in this era of storytelling.
It was the 90’s. Edgelords rule that era. The comics were awful though.. glad the cartoon toned down the attitude. Comic version of Logan was just a dumb and angry animal.

One of my favorite episodes was the one where Wolverine asks Night Crawler how he could still love a God that has children that hunt and hate him for being a Mutant. Night Crawler's words must have hit home cause in the last scenes of the episode when Rogue peeks through the Church doors inside an empty Church you see Wolverine reading a Bible on his knees praying. I'm not a religious person, but for some reason that scene stuck with me for years.
YESSSS!!! I loved every storyline involving Nightcrawler but that episode where he's first introduced resonated with me as well. I used to be a big time Christiany Jesus-Boy as a teen in the 90's. And this episode spoke to me. Although I've left Chistianity, that episode still warms me up inside like no other.

Love it when cyclops said to me my X-men
That was the chills moment (and I don't get chills or sentimental) and it made me think how much more badass it landed than Avengers Assemble.

This looks really great, the 90’s X-Men cartoon along with the 90’s Spider-Man cartoon are the gold standards for me when it comes to Marvel animation, both of these shows were and still are fantastic and so the idea of getting to return to that same world all these years later is so cool, I actually like the look of the new animation, it still looks handdrawn but at the same time it does look more detailed, this is a project that had kinda faded from my memory but after seeing this trailer I’m all in because it looks really good
I couldn’t be happier about it. Come on March 20.

I feel like I'm the only person who watched & loved the original series but wishes they had NOT tried to pick up the story right where they left off. I think doing so alienates the "original show's purists" but also new fans, who would love to jump on but feel overwhelmed by all the episodes they have to watch in order to catch up. I immensely enjoyed X-men Evolution as well as Wolverine and the X-men, so I'm sure I would have enjoyed a new take X- men yet again.

Throw Spiderman Freshman year into the trash and bring back Spiderman 94. They can built a new universe centered around the 90s shows and have them crossover like they used to.
If X-Men is a success and if Disney is able to do it (not sure how the animated TV rights for Spider-Man work), then there's a chance we'll get it. Fingers crossed.

Given that it's a character with perfect American English, does it really matter what background the voice actress is? If it were one with a noticeable Asian/Chinese accent than maybe so.

Patrick Stewart was wearing green, yellow chair, and had the animated Xmen theme when he came out. I would totally buy into that

As far as I recall, he isn't even really dead, but needs extended time in Shi'Ar space to be cured of his boo boo. I guess they could imply he came back from that, did some Illuminati business and got run up on by MCU Wanda if they wanted to, but just wanted to be sure you were up to date about how it played out.

K the visual is cool and badass, but think about it. Gambit just charged Wolverines skeleton with enough kinetic energy to blow up. Idk about that being a great battle plan.

Charles leaving everything to erik is the least surprising thing iv ever seen lol. Even tho magneto and charles absolutely disagree about humans n what they do and do not deserve, even tho their methods are completely different, charles STILL trusts him more than anyone else with his lifes work!! Its because he knows that erik has mutankinds best interests at heart, he knows where eriks prejidice comes from with his upbringing during the holoccaust and dosent hold that against him, and i think charles knows and believes that if he ever died and he lefft him responsible for "his xmen" that erik has enough respect for him to not to fuck everything up and respect his viewpoints...also the creator of the series has said if the show didnt end that he wanted charles death to completely change erik n give him a complete babyface turn. Also the trailer is edited to make erik seem all "muhuhaha yo asses are MINE!!!" evil n shit, but im pretty sure its a purposeful misdirection lol.. as soon as i saw that i knew right away "oh erik is gonna have a face turn". (Babyface for non wrestling fans is a term for good guy).. i also am fully convinced if we ever see a long haired magneto 97 varient in live action that rather than using ian or micheal, that they cast jeremy irons as a magneto varient from the animation universe!!.. after watching him play ozymandius all i can think was "dude would be a perfect magneto and he pulls off purple well".

Pretty sure the creator the X-Men show originally had it where he died, but change it (forgot why. maybe high ups). Now that its back, they going back to his orginal plan and killing him off.

The biggest difference in that trailer was wolverine’s voice to me. I’m glad the TV shows back, but when I heard Wolverine’s voice I was like whoa.

The Shi'ar save Charles _in the comics._ X-Men '97 picks up from the original finale, where he dies instead.
Oh I think Disney is going to outright damage the X-Men brand with 97 they're going to bring in the nostalgia and then smash it to pieces with stuff like Hellfire Gala and we know how Disney loves bait & switch.
I think you're right in that they're going to reframe, rewrite, and retcon things from the original series. But they can't destroy your nostalgia. Your thoughts and feelings about a thing that happened in the past STAYS frozen and preserved in your memory. How you feel about it now may change because of new information or cuz of Disney's tinkering and that's ok. It's called: growth. Your memories are still preserved in your mind. And since you can recall them and share them with others, they're NOT ruined.
Can't wait for the resurgence of X-men. Miss my mutants!

Magneto was born in or near 1920
Magneto has been aged and de-aged a number of times. Hell if they wanted to take an easy way out they could have a mutant that does it for him. Other ways are super soldier serum. In the comics I believe it was the shiar that did it. And I could be mistaken, but I'm fairly sure they did this in TAS too. He was older looking and skinny then he became young and buff (but kept his white hair). I get what you are saying, but there is no NEED to change the story. They could make it work a number of ways.

For me, I would consider A:EMH to be the second best behind The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Yeah Spectacular Spider-man is the best - by faaaaaaaaaaar, but Earth Mightiest Heroes was also really fun. I'd put that and Spider-man the animated series on 2 and 3 place

The animation looks bad. Like there are frames missing when they move. Specifically Wolverine when he talks to cyclops it’s so weird
