Pied Butcherbird

Pied Butcherbirds are found over all but the most southern parts of mainland Australia. They inhabit drier woodlands and forests with scrubby understory. Often seen alone but can be in pairs or small family groups. Juvenile and immature birds have brown plumage. Their call has very clear, beautiful notes.

Some nice footage and Audio. We have a few of these on our property and hear them all the time but filming them is not so easy. They always take off as soon as they see the camera.
