This is why it is good to know how to read the evap function test and know what the system is doing in each step. It’s crazy how many techs don’t know how the test works. They just run the test and see if it passes or fails but they don’t know the reason or how to diagnosis a failed test.
My problem turn out to be the solenoid that was connected to the engine on the gas cap light. I put power to the valve it moves and worked. After i replaced it the light went away immediately. I guess just because it test good doesn't mean the computer would be happy with it. I think my the part was like 12 years old too so it was probably time anyways.

I can only imagine what that's gonna cost me, I guess I'm just gonna be leaving my gas cap loose.
I had the same thing happen on my Honda fit. The charcoal canister was easy to dump out all the charcoal so it didn't plug up anymore.
