The only reason I can think of for that score is that maybe Darren Berrecloth got funny about him using Jordi's drop? Awhich is ridiculous.

Watching all your videos before the event was more exciting and entertaining than the event itself. You spread so much positive energy! Keep that up and just return for your fans. Half the internet is behind you, as we saw during the peoples chioce.
This has to be the rawest, ballsiest, most technical thing I saw in the competition. I thought making something this difficut... "look easy"... was an indication of superior skill??? This kind of run is the heart & soul of what Red Bull Rampage started out as. Apparently the judges lost sight of the event's roots... and Brendog's run... over one of those blind 70 ft drops.

First things first: lads you won everything, the build, the stoke, the SM’s and the best ride by the best rider 🎉 Secondly, I’m looking forward to my #LADSCIENCE T SHIRTS 🎉 (I hear there are some left, hint!). But I also want to say that RBR can’t survive the judges rewarding the SlopeStyle. The wooden practice run-ins and the air bags will just get bigger and then the wind will stop the runs on match day - note that’s nearly happened the last two years. So, #RedBull if this thing matters to you, you need to control Barraclough or better still fire him - I’m sorry he got banged up and I’m glad he’s better, but it wasn’t anything others (me) haven’t also done…

Brendan's Run was the gnarliest build with that cross court send through the chute and ridge line madness. Throw in a back flip over the canyon and it was the most exposure too.
The series got me amped for Rampage again after swearing I wouldn't bother after last years fiasco. That 76 was criminal. Your boys' line was what I though this comp was supposed to be about. They can stick their slopestyle comp up their arse next year (unless you boy are back again of course). Chin up you belters, that was amazeballs, you did yourselves proud.

Canyon gap flip to sniper landing - one of the moves of the day. Robbed. Time to eliminate those 15 - 20 foot wide landings and bring it back to natural freeride lines.

Judging was disappointing to say the least. I'll always appreciate sniper lines and landings over slopestyle features any day! And thanks loads to the crew for taking us along for the ride, was both enlightening and entertaining to see how much sweat, BLOOD & food it takes to create a 2 min run. Huge props for team Brendog!

I was so stoked and excited for this year's rampage. What a joke deserved so much better. Well done lads you gave it your all.
You bring up a solid point, and it's definitely a hot topic in the mountain biking community! The shift in Rampage judging criteria has been a point of contention for many. The roots of freeride lie in line choice, creativity in using the terrain, and riding with style, rather than focusing solely on throwing down a bunch of tricks. But, as you mentioned, the recent judging has leaned more towards rewarding trick-heavy runs, which has changed the essence of the event.
Bren's run probably represents that more pure vision of freeride-creative line choice and reading the terrain in a way that not many others do. But if the judges are favoring trick progression, riders like him can end up scoring lower even if they ride impressively in other respects. It's that balance between staying true to your own riding style and adapting to the criteria of the event.
If the event continues down this path, we might end up seeing a more trick-centric version of Rampage, just with the raw and rugged terrain of Utah.....

That score was 100% punishment for the backlash they got last year! You all did a fantastic job on that incredibly unique freeride line. Rampage is an amazing event and you cant take anything away from the other riders talents but 90% of them were using the same manicured trick lines.
Another shocker of a result but you guys won the whole event from the entire build vlogs to Brendog's gnarly run on finals day. Yeah boiis
There are literally no words lads. You guys smashed it building more hype for the comp than anything Red Bull did. All European and ROW riders should boycott it next year and just leave the US and Canadian bumboys to enjoy their little ride in the lovely bikepark they've created and see how many people tune in.

Gidday, loved this Ben. So reminded me of myself and my two best mates heading away, full of bollocks and banter 😂. Speaking of bollocks, the score Brendog received was a total insult, for the effort you all put in, really feel gutted for u guys. Rampage was who could ride the knarliest line, not who could do the best tricks on the groomiest trails. Typical yanks. As for Ollie losing his phone, good job his balls are in a bag 😂. Keep up the laughs, the good times, loving it!

If you're doing a "freeride" contest, how hard the line is should always be the no1 scoring category.
Tricks should matter only as a divider for riders with lines that are judged score the same. Meaning, ofcourse tricks should score better than straight airs BUT the line should always be the most important factor.
If not the riders should just team up and build a big air slopestyle run down the mountain and see who does the hardest tricks, right?

Had a feeling that you'd be robbed by the old boys judging club again, but THAT badly? The score & position was a complete piss take. How can it score LOWER than five years ago with more on the line this year, including that mental vertical chute? Absolutely ridiculous. Regardless of the score, Bren and you guys won rampage 2024. Peoples champion!
Brendon line for me is a mixing thing, i love your line but to stay in freeride spirit if you looking for that you need to roll on more rock or more freeride line with no break and no step up ❤❤❤

So gutted on that result. Not to take away from the other riders lines because they’re fucking huge and I’d never hit them in a million lifetimes but that side of the hill literally looks like a groomed bike park in comparison to the raw shit you boys have built. Just pure natural gnar with a few lips and landings chucked in and using what nature put there as it is and that’s what rampage is supposed to be about. Fully enjoyed every minute of following the build, the drive time videos on Olly’s channel and seeing Bren nail that line perfectly. I fully understand if he turns down an invitation next year as it’s beyond a joke now that the judges keep scoring him down. When I heard Gully say “he makes it look too easy and that’s what lowers his score” on the livestream I wanted to punch him in the face. Isn’t that the whole point? To make riding something so insanely technical and gnarly look as easy as cruising to the shops takes an unreal amount of skill and deserves a score that reflects that. Otherwise I might as well have ridden down it, smashed myself up crashing on every single feature and fallen down every cliff to show how hard it is and maybe they’d have scored me higher because I made it look impossible. Big up the three of you for making that line happen. I’m gonna be repping the lad science t shirt with pride when it arrives!
If we judge it on a slope style comp then Brendog wouldn't have won. If it was judged on what rampage used to be about, he'd be well up there. Some of the other riders did some amazing tricks on ridiculous features, hats off to them. I'm not sure how you can get rampage get back to how it was when there are riders capable of so much. Great effort by all of you, amazing dig creating an awesome line.
