  • The American light cruiser line is a really solid branch of ships, and Tier VII's USS Helena is no exception... especially with this kind of matchmaking. Top tier in a game on Estuary, I am able to maximize my use of Helena's fifteen barrels of hilarious fun against some questionable destroyer play and farm damage off some enemy battleships.

In an effort to keep a better flow of content coming, I'm going to pretty up some of my more interesting Twitch games from a given week and share them on the channel. These are much faster to produce than my normal stuff, but are a little less polished.

IJN capital ships sunk by US submarine:
    CV: Shinano
    CV: Shokaku
    CV: Taiho
    CV: Unryu
    CVE: Akitsu Maru
    CVE: Chuyo
    CVE: Shin'yo
    CVE: Taiyo
    CVE: Un'yo
    BB: Kongo
    B: Asahi
    CA: Maya
    CA: Atago
9 CVs is somewhat surprising, considering the focus on trade vessels.

Personally, I'm holding onto "I Just Want to Grill" for a USS Helena/USS Boise/Neuve de Julio compilation video title.

You should check out the USS Barb SS-220. Her war record included 12 patrols in both theatre's and included the sinking of the escort carrier Un'yo plus the only destruction of a train by a submarine.

Oh, I've had Gene Fluckey's book on my shelf for years now. =)
