It certainly looks cool, but I wonder if you might be better served buying a $1,000 rifle to begin with instead of spending $500 on a $500 rifle? Honest question
I agree with you. I'd rather get a Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera than buying a basic Ford Mustang then spending more money on all kinds of gadget to make it go faster. But then again.....people are not the same. To each his own, I guess.
I think its more targeted for people who already own the rifle and want to upgrade or upgrade later down the road. Once you already spent $500, spending another $500 later is not as bad as starting with $1000 for budget conscious people.
I haven't seen many $1000 chassis rifles out there
@@PopShot76 just looked up a savage chassis rifle in 6.5 for $900 at a big box retail store. and a couple of Howa's.

I have one and yes it’s true, it 100% changes the image of your rifle from a hunting weapon to a sharpshooter. Every time I pull out my rifle at the range people say “that’s a beautiful rifle” I’ve also heard “this man is ready for a competition”
Far too expensive of a conversion for a Ruger American, well over the original rifle, they should of pair up with Ruger on a special addition, and in the end, it still a Ruger American.
Is it the chassis still good for hunting though?

That thing is so nice that I think it would become a mantle piece. Bolt in one of the safes, with an unloaded mag it in. That thing is legit a work of art. Bravo Sharps Bros. Bravo. Oh.... and did anyone notice the kit is almost as expensive as the firearm platform itself? lol
It's a state-of-the-art custom stock. What did you think is going to cost? On top of that the 459 doesn't even buy you the rear stock!

You can actually buy the Ruger American with the Magpul stock installed already
And it has a big fat barrel. That will shoot dimes at 100 yards.
I wanted to buy the the Ruger American Hunter. But on the day I was shopping. I only found the Predator. Nice rifle. But I did buy a Magpul Hunter stock later. With the heavier barrel, the Ruger American Hunter version is a better buy. Than the Predator.

@@jaredandrews379 but, your rifle has to use AR magazines in the factory stock, in order for it to work with the chassis. If your rifle uses the rotary magazines in the factory stock, then your rifle WILL NOT function in a chassis that uses AR magazines

Any Short Action chassis that uses AICS magazines will work. But you’ll want to buy metal 308 magazines and be ready to bend the feed lips in/out until you find the right setting for proper feeding

Looks great but that’s a terrible chassis for the safety placement of that rifle. A+ on looks , D- on easy of use.
I just returned mine because of it. Such a pain in the ass to turn on/off
cool,but useless for anything but a 6.5 and 308.
Have a heatseeker for Howa mini. It truly sucks! Fore end very loose. Save your money buy a quality chassis.
U know why they made stocks wooden because u can't hold metal when it's 20 with wet hands ,all day al metal nope pass
Interesting. I held my aluminum chassis at -30°F while coyote hunting multiple times.
As usual no long action fitment. Pretty sad.
