I, like many others, have listened to this song many times. Every time I here it, I am amazed how masterfully this song is written and played. Lyrically it is also mystically haunting. It is almost the perfect song. This cover is so very very good. Love it.

Incredible cover. As a huge Porcupine Tree fan and someone who watches a lot of drum videos I don't know why TH-cam waited so long to recommend this video to me, but better late than never! Your rendition is flawless. The recording is excellent too. Well done!

It’s sad because this song is so true.
There are still amazing bands and musicians out there like Porcupine Tree were, they just don't get the attention that all the mainstream stuff gets. The problem with mainstream for me in terms of music, is that it gets stale quick and is meant to just be pushed out until the next thing can come along. It's meant to make the money off the general population, and not all of it is bad music. It's just sad that stuff like this doesn't get the recognition it's skill and talent deserves.
I agree with Ryan, there's still people that make music for the love of music, and are not too invested in purposely following the popular trends. In the end, one could say that popular trends have gone to shit
@@GuidoPerdomo I agree too friend. I play many instruments and have a recording studio but I make music because it’s just what I do. I love it. Maybe one day I’ll distribute it.
There's still some amazing independent artists that have gotten a lot of love from the TH-cam algorithm. Check out Snarky Puppy's "What about me" with a whopping 20M views. Or how about "overtime" by knower, shot in a bedroom and well over 5M views now. There's Jacob Collier's old stuff from when he was like 16 that has millions of views, which he recorded at home in his music room. Pop music might be dead but modern jazz is alive and well.
I think everyone is allowed to enjoy whatever they want. I hate that people argue about what "real music" is. At the end of the day it's all just a bunch of soundwaves lol. I myself enjoy prog to kpop. I like to have a wider perspective on the world of music. So yes even pop is good in my eyes.
Confesso la mia perplessità iniziale, ma dopo un paio di 7/8 mi sono ripreso, ed è stato un bene. Drumming "blow by blow" con la giusta fluidità ed energia, due concetti difficili da far andare d'accordo. Complimenti!
Ottima esecuzione, ma sento che in molti punti si sentono splash che non suoni, o tom fantasma che nontocchi - e questo rende l'esecuzione un po' dubbiosa su alcuni passaggi. Detto ciò. da come porti il brano e vedendo i video nel tuo canale sei davvero bravissima, io non sono al tuo livello. Ma mi sembra giusto darti un parere sincero. Buona musica Maura

Initially seeing the thumbnail, my thought was, damn she's beautiful, who the hell is that? Then, my thoughts were, wait, this is porcupine tree, and she sounds amazing. What I really like is that you stayed true to the ambiance of the original song. As a fellow drummer, this song would have been hard for me to play with out trying to unnecessarily add some extra Drum fills or whatever. Great job..

@@RubenSprng it's not playback. I know every note of this song, she doesn't play the same fills and you can see that she's really playing her variations. She's just good and the sound engineer who worked on this know his stuff, don't believe that idiot

È difficile trovare un/una batterista che può rivaleggiare con l'eleganza di Gavin Harrison. Ecco, trovata! A parte che il mix è molto figo (il rullante è da orgasmo), ma davvero, tecnica sopraffina. Vorrei solo poter suonare questo brano col tuo stesso tocco. Complimenti e iscritto, continua a fare cover!

@@amplad Certo, si vede e si sente che lei è un mostro, ma secondo me senza un fonico che ha la sensibilità giusta il musicista è utile quanto il fonico senza musicista. È per questo che se vado a registrare qualcosa io personalmente non scelgo né suoni né volumi: io sono il musicista (con orecchie pessime, dato che sono batterista e che ho sicuramente qualche decibel in meno), non il fonico, chi sono io per dire cosa suona bene e cosa no?
