Sergio Perez's HUGE STATEMENT on His FUTURE with Red Bull WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!

  • ▶︎▶︎ Sergio Perez has hinted towards an early retirement as the Mexican driver has faced quite a tough period from 2023’s Miami GP, putting Red Bull in a difficult situation when it comes to their driver’s pair up. Even though his results were under the radar, the amount of money that Perez brings to this team is substantial to the level of the Austrian team’s management deciding to keep him on board after pressure from two of the biggest companies behind Perez, Telcel and Telmex - so with this in mind, could Perez’s early departure cause big trouble for Red Bull, and have they slowly but surely entered into a rebuild mode without even realizing it?

Well this is the plan isnt it. He "retires". Rb keeps the sponsor money. Perez keeps the salary. Riccardo finnishes his career with RB. Lawson gets promoted to rb in 2025.

So fed up of hearing about lawson. Red bull need to make a decision. Let’s be honest, Perez isn’t AS good a Max, but by no means is Perez a bad driver at all. The RB20 isn’t what it should be, no where close in fact. The car is half the problem.

How much money are those companies paying to be on his hats? Nothing n the cars I don’t believe? Sad how his car just went away from him. I read an article stating thT he’s been telling the team about the floor last year, but no changes made because Max was winning.

Redbull have said already that the car was the reason for Perez’s shortcomings (since the Spain 2023 upgrade package upset the cars balance and building on those upgrades has taken it to a point to where even Max struggles to find the right setup). Those issues haven’t magically gone away after the summer break, Max was set to finish 7th at Baku before Sainz’s interesting overtake attempt.
Realistically you could put almost every driver on the grid in that RB20 and it would still not do very well, other than maybe in the hands of Lewis, Leclerc maybe Piastri who all have a similar enough driving style to Max (or in the case of Lewis could adapt quite easily to the cars faults).
Perez is underperforming obviously but the reasons for that aren’t on his shoulders, redbull have always had this ‘One driver’ approach and Jos Verstappen seems to have convinced the redbull team that setting both cars up in the way Max wants will work.

I am NO FAN of Red Bull, but they need a driver like Perez.
A #2 driver with middling skills is often the "canary in the coal mine" to detect issues with the car early.
A #2 NEEDS a good car, and will struggle without it.
Verstappen wins DESPITE the car's failings, so developers ignore his complaints and blame Perez ONLY for poor driving.
Perez told them long ago that the car wasn't right, and it resulted in poor performance. They tried to fire him.
Verstappen won six times before he got affected.
But he's struggling to win now and everybody's in a panic.
Now Red Bull is running out of time to fix things.
