I was happy to see your pop up sale at your home. I did one this summer as well, just last August 14th. We only did a one day set up, and we found that most of the traffic was between 9 - 11. We opened at 7 a.m. but in retrospect I would set up at 8 and be ready by 9, perhaps close by noon. We also had the “what this isn’t a garage sale” even though our signs made it clear it was an “Artisan/Crafter” sale. I was also happy to see the variety in your Paul Bunyan market. Finally here in Canada we are able to do outdoor markets for crafters. My first market in a long time will be September 14th… I hope this opening up trend continues. Thanks for sharing.

I have been considering doing a home market but my question is How we’re you able to keep everything up all weekend without the worry of people stealing at night? Or did you set up each day? That’s probably a weird question but that’s one of my concerns I have been worrying about. I don’t think I could set up each day.

I’m just starting out (and the weather has been so rainy this summer, I haven’t been able to do much w/furniture flipping (which needs to be outside as no garage!). My mom suggested once I have a good amount ready to do a sale on our drive. I’m afraid those stopping would think it’s a yard sale and not a market-style sale. Could you in the future share some of how you worded your announcements/advertisement? And, seeing your success, I’m thinking about trying this on Small Business Saturday as well.
I’m going to try and do my next popup on small business Saturday as well. I’m going to see about getting on the ticket possibly in our area. Where customers know who is participating and get a stamp at each location! Great ideas to include in future videos!

It said Popup Home Market Sale and my address. I think I’m going to add vintage before the home market. I’m going to do the next popup this fall so I’ve been brain storming! I didn’t have to get a permit since it fell into something similar to a rummage sale. Thank you so much!! 🤗❤️

Honestly I think you should do it! I was very nervous too that people would think it’s a rummage but honestly the folks looking for rummages walked up and their first words were…oh this isn’t a rummage. They could tell instantly it was similar to a store and then I told them it was a popup home market.

Thank you! No permit was needed since you can have a rummage without a permit. I’m excited to try another in the Fall!
Most people that have weekends off sleep in on their days off or have chores to catch up on, so 8 am is probably a bit to early for most.

Yes, up until covid I attended artisan faires and I use Square for that option.

Yeah I wouldn't be doing any sales on a Sunday. Sunday is my day for the Lord not shopping if I can help it.
