Question: Technically speaking, does this mean that if you only carry hand luggage and don’t have a check-in luggage, then you don’t need to pass through the immigration? I’m planning to buy separate tickets from different airline companies but not sure about the self-transfer. You know, I don’t want to be quarantined in Korea, so expensive! Please educate me. Thanks!

Yes, once you arrive at the Incheon Airport, you will need to present your passport and boarding pass to go to any terminal or switch terminal. You will also need to show passport and boarding pass when you buy in duty free. Safe Travels
@@winsoncheong2025 hey I just had my flight today, idk if you already had yours but I was able to transfer and get on my gate in about an hour (i did have to run tho lol, and also when I arrive at the shuttle area the train was already there so i had no wait times)

Did you need to go through immigration? I have no luggage too and 2 different airline and ticket. Transfer from Concourse to T1

You needn't to go through customs while during transit. Customs area only for those whos enter korea as visitors etc.
