If Dickford cant take the criticism and cant take responsibility then he should step down and trigger an election so the whole of Wales can decide who is more competent.
Whether you support labour, tory, green, or absolutely nothing, it's going to be a scary winter to say the least. We as a country are on the precipice of civil unrest at a VERY bad time.
This is the truest thing I have read in this comment section. They all judge everyone else's political leaders but neglect to realise how tough this winter is going to be.
As much as I hate to say it as I'm anti-tory to the hilt, but Labour did cut the health budget back when spending cuts were first introduced by the tory government. Instead of ring fencing the NHS like England did, Wales decided to go for protecting council budgets thus preventing any council tax rise. A big mistake in my opinion.and there's no denying that the party leader for the tories has a valid point when he accuses Mark Drakeford of voting for cuts to the Health Service.
Ring fencing the NHS is a better bet than councils, because like in England, the health responsibilities of councils gets absorbed into the NHS out of necessity, and though care variation occurs, the NHS health platform is more powerful than the councils. I'm kind of fed up with Labour deflecting rather than being honest about the decisions made. And care quality has nothing to do with money - there was a health worker somewhere in 15hrs - that crosses two shifts! The culture in Wales must have become appalling under the cuts, and it was up to him as Health Minister to influence where he can.
So refreshing to see Ministers on both sides really passionately saying what they want and need for their people. Unlike their counterparts in Westminster. They are mostly on their phones, ignoring what is going on!
@Sonification Won't make any difference. They all get in fresh-faced (somehow) and gradually build up their sins with the public until they're a total mess. Anyone 40+ can see the repetition clearly
Why does Drakeford suggest cutting ambulance services, why isn't he cutting admin. and getting the Welsh health service more efficient. It is all about second rate management, and it is the same in England. The NHS is bloated with cash and people; the trouble is the cash is wasted and too many people are wasters. I am not referring ot frontline staff.
Drakeford accuses the tories of cutting the budget to Wales and causing the problems in the health service, but earlier this year handed back £130 odd million of unspent budget. Why on earth didn't he use it ?

Be afraid of the quiet man
Drakeford is usually so calm. He was absolutely furious.
This isn't the first time he's flipped out. In a debate like this it's kinda understandable as things tend to get heated, but I have seen him do it when confronted by the public on the street.
@@barbararice6650 tell me more. I didn't even know he had one..

Typical Dickford denying any responsibility for his party's incompetence and blaming anyone else but himself, Welsh Labour have run the Health Service for 23 years, its their responsibility to allocate funds to the verious departments withing Wales, not Westminster. He is ultimately responsible for the actions of HIS government. He is responsible for the Health Service fiasco within Wales, not Westminster. If Dickford cant take the criticism and cant take responsibility then he should step down and trigger an election so the whole of Wales can decide who is more competent.
Unbelievable
Whether you support labour, tory, green, or absolutely nothing, it's going to be a scary winter to say the least. We as a country are on the precipice of civil unrest at a VERY bad time.
This is the truest thing I have read in this comment section.
They all judge everyone else's political leaders but neglect to realise how tough this winter is going to be.
They are all as bad as each other ,all mouth no action unless taxation is going up or bringing in things people don't want
It is at 3:48 when the Drakeford puts the tories in their place lol
Why do they want to increase Welsh politicians by 50% if they have no money ,cut the number of politicians on the gravy train
As much as I hate to say it as I'm anti-tory to the hilt, but Labour did cut the health budget back when spending cuts were first introduced by the tory government. Instead of ring fencing the NHS like England did, Wales decided to go for protecting council budgets thus preventing any council tax rise. A big mistake in my opinion.and there's no denying that the party leader for the tories has a valid point when he accuses Mark Drakeford of voting for cuts to the Health Service.
there are social/health responsibilities that "councils" have to provide, by law...
Just one example of why the established parties need to be ditched.
Mark Drakeford making a lot of noise to distract from his responsibility. The Labour run NHS.
The tores line there own pockets 1st
So refreshing to see Ministers on both sides really passionately saying what they want and need for their people. Unlike their counterparts in Westminster. They are mostly on their phones, ignoring what is going on!
Bless him 🙏!
Drakeford is a despicable human being!!!!
A new beginning is coming for the UK, we need labour to take back control for the people of this country, the working class. BRING IT HOME 💪
Yes rich Liberals in Islington are the saviour of the working class.
A typical post by a brain dead zombie, both Labour and Conservatives are past their 'sell by date'
@Sonification Won't make any difference. They all get in fresh-faced (somehow) and gradually build up their sins with the public until they're a total mess. Anyone 40+ can see the repetition clearly
Yes because last time they were in power that ended really well didn't it 🤣🤡

Drippy Drakeford
Never in the field of human conflict has so much been said by so may but achieved so little to the point where so many are reliant upon so few.
Brilliant Video
Why does Drakeford suggest cutting ambulance services, why isn't he cutting admin. and getting the Welsh health service more efficient. It is all about second rate management, and it is the same in England. The NHS is bloated with cash and people; the trouble is the cash is wasted and too many people are wasters. I am not referring ot frontline staff.
welsh has a wonderful accent, like singing.
Drakeford accuses the tories of cutting the budget to Wales and causing the problems in the health service, but earlier this year handed back £130 odd million of unspent budget. Why on earth didn't he use it ?
yeah, Drakeford, Wales is listening Why'd you do that?
Looks like RT either drinks a lot or is about to have a heart attack.

How times have changed.
Mark Drakeford made that bubbling buffoon look like a complete and utter waste of time of time and resources then! 😂
With any luck Drackeford will have a heart attack. When they call the ambulance it'll take hours to get there.
Go on Mark

You have a messed up definition of gentle. This isn't the first time either.
Has anyone brought up cuts to the chambers pay. When things improve their pay could be reinstated.
AMs are on pretty modest salaries, your average plumber or electrician (self employed) earn a fair bit more... according to the guy who changed my fuse box.
5 hours for an ambulance ? Oh my
Yep. The Tories have slashed the budget to the Senedd meaning that it, like English government cannot fund the NHS properly anymorr
The cheek of this joker quoting nye Bevan, Mild mannered mark Absolutely destroyed him
Except it’s Drakefords fault . He runs Welsh health. He finds it. Pathetic man

@@pauldavies7251 The question is 'why' though. It's not like Wales has much say over the Welsh NHS' budget, and it's entirely possible that the circumstances have been, largely, out of their hands.
