In some combat sports and leagues it is at the referee's discretion to NOT simply count from 1 to 10.
- One fighter gets decapitated = No count, the other fighter immediately wins.
- The fighter is standing, but the 10 count is over? It's legitimate to check, if he's actually fully aware of his situation and give him another 2 or 3 seconds.
- It's important to apply that same leniency to BOTH fighters.

In this short video the "receiving" fighter is a Romanian Kickboxer Champion, Bogdan Stoica, known as "The Flying Knee". He is very good and really a very dangerous adversary. Everyone can see Isaev only hits his guard and a lot of body but very few clean hits to damage. Nevertheless that night in the 2nd round Stoica put Isaev down with a combination of flying knee and good hands and in the 3rd round Isaev put Stoica down with a bomb body hit. Isaev won by unanimous decision (for real) in the 3rd round Stoica looking tired and difficult to keep the pace. For a 31 years old fighter facing a stone powerful and talented 27 year old one that was an overall good performance and debut in One Championship. Respect and love for both brave men!

For a 31 year old? Lmao most fighters reach their peak mid 30’s some even late 30’s so i don’t know what the f you talking about. The other fighter was simply better. Stoica has always been overrated and he only fought journey man and whenever he faced some quality fighters he lost.

By the sound it’s like his punches are flush. Meaning he’s hardcore accurate. But let’s be honest. There’s a lot of PUFFING on your end. The UFC uses this technique a lot better. Because they only use it on knockout shots.

That ref needs to be fired. If a fighter goes down, he's supposed to count to 10. Not count to 8 and tell the fighter to get up.

Another terrible One kickboxing match up. White shorts had the reach advantage. Neither of them utilized leg kicks or teeps. This was difficult to watch.

he is not as scary as billed. finishes on that right hand almost every time and does not reset quickly enough to prevent the opponent exiting. should finish on a left hook or a jab and be looking to take away the chance to move or strike from the opponent. contrast with beterbiev's ko recently where a similarly relaxed power puncher scored an early ko because he took away his opponent's turn by spoiling his attack by using the left hand and allowing him less time to reset.
