Absolutely great interpretation of this Boogie Woogie classic! Your body language at the piano and your way of playing remind me a little of Jörg Hegemann. 😉
Really nice job. Thanks. The left hand didn't skip a beat. The last segment with the octave motif in the right hand totally smooth. This thing is a lot of fun to play. Thanks to Albert Ammons for writing it and you for playing it so nicely. When I play it I always (when available) put a cold mug of suds on "box". That's my treat when I finish.
I would love a video on how you do that signature Jorg left hand chop! Fantastic job. I've gotten the Fraser Gartshore one down, but I've never been able to get this one.
Great stuff Noah, really well played! And I like the sound of that piano and the acoustics of the room too. I could almost literally feel the vibes man...!
Noah, you really did rock that song. I want you to know that I was dancing in my computer chair and thoroughly enjoyed your smiling while playing also and I smiled back...(CA)
Awesome boogie woogie Noah! You make it look so easy man. You must have put in many years of hard work, practice and dedication to achieve this level. You are very talented and deserve much wider recognition. Keep on following your dream.
As for me, most of all modern boogie-woogie recordings are in a hurry. When I choose the speed to 0,9 - it sounds better. When I choose to 0,75 - it becomes sounds quite good in a few seconds, just listen. Someone may say that's a blues already. Well, yes. Ammons, as a classical performer, plays vividly, but never hurry.
Beautifully played! Albert would have been proud. Reminded me of this scene in the 2001 movie "The Majestic" with Jim Carrey: th-cam.com/video/27Pg4wHah2I/w-d-xo.html. Thank you!!!
This guy is genuine, and feels the music, that joy is so hot I'm surprised the piano isn't on fire.
He is plainly having a good time, yes. A fun vid. :)
