  • Telstra 5G Home Broadband - Speedtests - 7th Feb 2023 around 7:10 PM.
    Modem located in best position in home but boosted with an external Poynting 5G antenna with 13 metre CLF 400 antenna cables.

    Tested with other Sydney based servers as well. Tested in overcast dry weather. My average download speed is around 610 Mbps. Location is the upper Blue Mountains NSW Australia.

      Hello Poynting Antennas. Thanks for your antenna via the RFShop in South Australia. Your 5G antenna does make a big difference to the performance of the modem and signal strengths. Without the antenna my download speeds are about 100 to 200 Mbps slower depending on the weather and the upload is only about 1/3 in standalone modem operation without the antenna. I'm hoping to get even faster speeds down and up post some house renovations where I will be able to better locate the modem and co-locate the modem much closer to the antenna with a much shorter antenna cable so much less cable loses. That hopefully will be later this year or early in 2024. Your 5G antenna works when it snows as well.
