Hi everyone! Just an update for you. It appears there may be an issue as reported by 2 users with the way the Fanatec QR is designed and compatibility with the DD1/2 specifically. This is currently being investigated but for now I'd recommend holding off on purching this wheel if you are intending to use it with a DD1/2.
More specifically, the keyway on the Leox designed Fanatec compatible QR does not extend throughout the assembly, which means it only interfaces with the rubber retainer on the DD1/2, which can lead to the shaft on the DD1/2 being damaged.

Its way more than expected for me ;/ I live next to UK where these are sold from, but since its not within EU i get to pay 25% + import toll. So the cheaper USB wheel with fanatec quickrelease gets to $905 + delivery fee.

I have a LeoXZ wheel and i love it. Couple of things.
1 - the USB model doesn't have shift lights working with Simhub yet. | Edit: They do after some delving.
2 - the plastics are fitted with push pins and come out of their fittings if you're not careful.
3 - Their customer service is great. Quick to respond and very helpful.

HI, I just bought the USB model. Your first point, is that the 2 seperate LED's either side of the wheel your talking about? Mine dont seem to function at all.
One other thing. How do you get the 3 rotary knobs off to put the stickers on? I tried an allan key but they wont budge!

    • @MTLoveridge
      @MTLoveridge ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@ViszlaBoss So the first question, you just need to update the Sim bridge add-on in simhub.
The second one, you need an allon key. A very small one at that.

Awesome to see third party products in the Fanatec eco system. Very clean design, and ability to run without a cable is massive! I'm hoping they'll bring out slightly larger rims, especially as I already have the Fanatec F1 2020.

Something a lot of reviewers always fail to mention and i know it´s because it doesn't effect their "core audience", but there are a few of us out there, that use the clutches for brake and accelerator, so knowing what that is like on these wheels would be really good to know. For now i´m stuck with a Fanatec wheel just because that feature works. Maybe a fun future video... You try racing like that and give your opinion on who´s wheels do it best.

The software looks like it gives you the option whether games will recognise the top paddles as buttons or axes. Thanks for the review, Will! Have been considering adding this wheel to the collection, and this video helped a lot. I'm still on the fence, but only because I'm weighing against other options like the CSX3 and GSI Hyper P1; for the price, though, this looks like an excellent option.

Compared to a lot of the other custom wheels on the market this is great value. I’m very tempted. I think my only request (and being a huge endurance sim racing fan) I’d like a version with led buttons. Otherwise for the price point they are pretty incredible, when I first saw them I thought they must be mostly plastic so was surprised when I read most of the wheel is metal and carbon fiber.

The best part is there extra qr2 connector you can buy allows you ro use simagic wheels also 😉 so now fanatec has some amazing options for wheels for sure! I love the shifters on the leoxz holy crap are they good lol. That dense deep click is beautiful. Me I love how toght the wheel feels i love that snug fit idk why. All they have to do is extend the paddles like make them sit higher and boom perfection.

I have this wheel and love it, I agree with this review. I don't wear gloves and personally find the rotary encoders to be fine. Totally agree about the rubber quality and smoothness, I much prefer it to my Ascher f-28 for the reason that Will gives.

@@l1nxgaming707 I got it working with F1 2020. It doesn't replicate the F1 2020 dash though, it just uses the pre-sets of the wheel (since the Leoxz sport doesn't have simhub integration for the dash), and it seemed to me that not all parameters were working. The basics were though, and maybe they update the Firmware later to addrss this.

  • @vladstefan5772
    @vladstefan5772 ปีที่แล้ว +3

One thing that I think is worth mentioning about hte pro version, those 2 hat switches are actuallly waay more impressive and usefulll than I expected - beeing also a rotary encoder.
I am using one of them to completly controll all the black boxes from iRacing.
As a downside.. I really dislike the quality of that "buttons frame"... it feels cheapish. Also, the analog paddles feel a little meh, but for this price point, I don't think someone can actually complain.
I also second everything you said about the wheel. I was really frustrated that there was no review out that was so in depth and I actually started to write a script myself, just for the comunity, but then you did this :D

The Adaptability of Simhub access is a Game Changer for Any Wheel. Simhub Can give a Wheel Longevity as the SimHub Software can Keep up with any Modern Changes in Technology or Display. That Alone Gives a leg up to any wheel that is Simhub Compatible. Some Proprietary Displays can't Optimize info for every Sim. Sim Hub Does this for you

Using SRM fanatec emulators, you can run any other wheel on a fanatec wheel base. Just a tip for people that think the fanatec eco system is small

Thank you for the review. Sadly when I looked into it further, it doesn't support the Podium DD bases yet. So I'd assume if you tried it with a DD1, you wouldn't get full torque, right?

The wheel looks amazing. But sadly there is a hole in the fanatec offering for a larger open GT wheel. Yes there is the McLaren GT3 but It is to much plastic. A ClubSport version of the V3 but GT size would be nice. Do you guys know a good 3rd party get wheel in the price range of the wheel describe in this video?

Is it possible to get some kind of guide (same as for Moza last time) for settings in most common sim racing titles for csl dd? Specially after latest update in ACC. I know there is a tons of information in internet but would love to see it here

So is it possible to use it also with the VRS or Simucube base and power it completely over USB? Also have you talked with Leoxz about a 300mm version. This would be a no brainer I guess. Thanks.

I'm interested in a cheaper version without a screen, since I don't need a screen on my wheel. Maybe even one that works without Bluetooth or a cable, just directly via the base if that's possible.

Where can you get this wheel in the US? Any reputable sites carry this wheel? Seems like a better option than the moza F1 wheel I was planning to get.

I really wish I could physically test this wheel. Worried that its going to be too small. I love my Fanatec Mclaren GT3 wheel and its size but Id love a built in dash and something not made of plastic.

Looks very similar to the Simagic FX Pro, but without backlight buttons etc. BTW, any chance you can turn down the background music, as it's really hard to hear you well.

@Boosted Media and all others in here: wow, awesome! how can we get this "Pro" Wheel to run with Gran Turismo 7 on a PS5 and Assetto Corsa on PC ? What is the cheapest solution with an DD Base? Which DD Base can u suggest? ...Those things are quite complicated these days, especially at Fanatec, some Bases have the Sony Chip inside, and some Wheels have the XBOX Chip inside...I was a fan of Fanatec...but now its complicated. i like to have an F1/GT3 wheel with display and all those nice buttons and thumb encoders for my PC and my PS5.. Maybe an Brook Ras1ution 2 would help? What do you think? big Thanks 4 any good Tips

Tossing between the Moza FSR and XF1 Pro, I haven't seen any updates on the FSR dash longevity so I'm leaning towards the XF1 purely for sim hub compatibility even though I like the look of the FSR more. Anyone have any insight?

So, price not withstanding, how does it compare to something like an x-29, MPX, VRS, etc? Yes, I know those don't have screens, but they have solid build quality. Can it compete?

Question. Many people say the Fanatec Formula wheel feels small in the hands and wish for a more realistic wheel size. Does this solve that problem ? Or are formula wheels generally just smaller (280mm) in reality ?

The usb cable is required to power the dashboard if I'm right? Why do we see you driving without the cable? How is that possible if it is not to hide the cable as if it wasn't an issue?
