In a recent Cece interview she said that if Whitney didn’t agree to perform, they would cut this segment. She said that Whitney always showed up for her and that they were best friends.
That’s true but it was Whitneys idea to do this.
She did a segment way back in 88 at the AMA when she sang a gospel at the very height of her popularity.
She was a very generous person. Sadly couldn’t she live a life for just worshiping the Lord. We all know we’ve been created for worship Him, for His glory. May she remains singing with the angels in the heavens and doing what worth most.
@@margareterodrigues5533 well you got to understand that like the original comment said, they were able to have this time to magnify the lord because of how big whitney was in rhythm in blues and pop music, but still she loved gospel. so she used her success in one lane, which many gospel artists cannot reach to create a space for the name of God. that's amazing. i haven't seen a gospel presence like this at the grammy's in all my years, and i was born in '99. secular artists, also like beyonce once said she wouldn't do an interview with a certain magazine, because they didn't interview gospel artists. so it is sad what came of whitney's troubles, but its important to know that secular artists still have a lot of dedication to God and how they can use their success. sometimes ppl just want to sing about other things going on in their lives like love and romance and heartbreak
It's not because Cece was not great or a huge artist. It was because Holly hate God.
I wonder why maybe cuz it was surrendering to Jesus and not the child sacrificing demon Baal and moloch. They gone get it in 2025 watch.
So Cece said they put in a request to do a gospel segment at the Grammys, but the Grammy producers said they would only agree to it if Whitney would be a part of it. That was the only reason. She said YES and the rest in gospel history. Whitney was powerful and kind.

I’ve sawn this video first 15 years ago… on that time I was away of church, away of the way and the presence of the Lord Jesus… you don’t imagine how God used this TH-cam video to touched me and bring me back to Him. How God still using Cece today! She really dedicated her life to do what we’ve been created for, to worship Him, for His Glory. We see in this video three levites guiding the public on all of the audience to worship the King of kings, the Lord of the lords. Praise be the name of Jesus!

I love the song “Believe for It” and CeCe’s performance at the Dove awards 2021. She was elegant then and also as one of the singers at the outdoor service of World Outreach Church in 2020 even though she was casually attired.
This is such a timeless moment in Gospel History! I continue to wipe the tears from my face, when I see Whitney!! I hope she is singing in the Heavenly Chorus. Ce Ce Winan is such an Annointed Vessel for the Lord!!!

Whitney knew her gift. She died as the most awarded female artist in the world and accomplished more than that audience combined. And all throughout she praised the highest above. But the devil likes to take the most faithful. The grace of God carried her from birth to death so she can fulfill the purpose that you and I drink from just as we do with this video.
Cece said in an interview in 2022 that but not for Whitney that herself and Shirley Caesar were not gonna be allowed to do a gospel presentation on this awards that the only way was if Whitney was gonna be on stage too. And Whitney agreed to do it that why cece and Shirley were allowed to do a gospel singing

I remember some aholes at the time thought Whitney didn't want to avoid the spotlight by appearing on the Grammys without a record release and then we find out after she passed that she actually did that so that they can televise a Godpel segment because the Grammys wouldn't do it without Whitney, hence why Whitney didn't want to be announced walking to the stage. Also, after her death, the NAACP said they asked Whitney to host their show that year for free because they were losing money. There's so much more that Whitney did for music and communities that people never knew because they were too busy focusing on her personal flaws. Aholes 😂
