This should already have over 1000 views. Sad how today's music is so bad. The Manhattan Transfer are the peak of Vocalese. I think they are at the very least as brilliant as Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. I have watched this video twice, now on a large screen. Besides their phenomenal talent, their energy is captivating, the band is incredible and the song choices a delight. Thank you again Jesús Alriols
Cheryl Bentyne is not as fragile and mysterious as Laurel Masse, but she is very charismatic, stylish, cheerful. She managed to join this team very successfully, which was probably not easy. And having suffered cancer, surviving and returning to the stage is worthy of respect and admiration. I wish her health and good luck!
I'm a casual fan (not a groupie) I have all of their albums and then upgraded to DVD but I never took the trouble to learn the names of the members. In all the videos I saw, Cheryl Bentyne was in the group. It wasn't until I watched the Old Gray Whistle TH-cam video that I found Laurel Masse was the original member in her part. Laurel is good but she pales in comparison to Cheryl. IMHO
@@BogdanKhmelnitsky-r3m my last sentence the "pales in comparison" crack. It sounded mean-spirited. I apologize. If I like the group better with Cheryl than with Laurel, that's my opinion; it's a matter of taste. Cheers!
I bet this was the most fun they ever had on a gig.., The band kicked major ass and the crowd was hyped and got into everything they did. The most energized MT show I've found. Great post!
ESTO ES SWING, y lo demás son tonterías! Cómo afinan y con qué clase swinguean y bebopean!!! Me encantan. GRACIAS por mostrar el vídeo. Estupendos también los músicos de la banda.
Espectacular.
You know I was a musician Led Zep, Deep Purple BUT when I first heard MHT just fell in love with them. When I was in College 1977 The MHT. Ruled. Every true musician loved them. Everybody loved them.True jazz, Be bop True 1950's music. Outstanding! .So good.Thank you MHT for MUSIC.

Ils sont merveilleux...et inoubliables. Mais que de pubs ! Un vrai gâchis.

I appreciate your feedback and I'm glad you like the concert. They are a great vocal band!!
Brilliant music pure class
Bad isn’t the word for it, it’s just plainly embarrassing! There you go, two words, and I can think of more!

@@johnwarner9082 It depends on what is considered to be the "original". In the FIRST line-up from the legendary was only Tim...
I'd like to parse my words a bit (with your indulgence) the last sentence was a little insensitive.
@@johnwarner9082 I don't understand as you. Thank you for your attention and (possibly) understanding...

Their Brazil, Vocalese and Coming Out cds are still among my favorites. Sure miss Tim Hauser.❤😢. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen and heard.

From their perfection, goosebumps run over the skin, the heart freezes and the eyes get wet...
I saw them earlier this evening. Still fantastic! I especially loved the XTC song they did.

I'm disappointed with all of the references in the comments to Tim Hauser being bald. Yes he's bald, get over it.
Thank you for posting this. sadly, I never have seen the Manhattan Transfer live and now that Tim Hauser is gone, seeing this video is a treasure.
