I honestly don’t know where all the hate on this man is coming from and I could not care less, I know what I’ve seen this year as a Real Madrid fan and he’s had the best debut season for a RM player since Cristiano. He’s a brilliant all around player and very complete, especially considering he just turned 21 and I actually don’t know why everyone is so critical of his performances this past few months and they are just ignoring the fact that he’s been playing with a shoulder injury since the beginning of the year, it’s so obvious that they are just butthurt because he turned down the Premier League to join Real Madrid and watching him lift the Champions League in his first season was pretty hard to swallow.

To put it into context, Pedri has 20 goals and 12 assists in 143 games for Barcelona, while Bellignham has 23 goals and 13 assists in 42 games for Real Madrid, it didn't even take him a full season to surpass what Pedri has done in 4 years.

The reason behind Jude's lack of goals in the latter part of the season was because he played more defensively especially in the UCL knockout matches. He still scored in La Liga since Madrid plays attacking style in the league. People dont understand that Madrid plays very defensive in knockout matches relying on the pace of Vini and Rodrygo.
That’s just not true, the only game that we played defensive was against City at the Etihad, there’s no way you can look at the tie vs Bayern and say that we were playing defensive, we did against City tho cause we scored early and then you know Guardiola, he likes to hog the ball. You kinda have a point on that being a reason for Jude’s average performances at the knockout stages, because he does need a less direct style for his football to thrive and when you play an away CL game you don’t have the ball that much.

I'm a _huge_ fan of his but for 5 months, not only was he not scoring, but his form completely fell off the edge of a cliff. He wasn't even _in_ a lot of those games; he was practically anonymous. People said it was injury and the suspensions he had, but I personally think it was fatigue after all he put into the first half of the season, as well as all the adulation/media hype finally catching up with him, as it would any 20 year-old who was the star of the biggest club in the world. Also, he wasn't helped by Ancelotti, who seemed to refuse to want to ever rest him, playing him for almost every minute of every game, in which he was required to attack and defend like no other player.
