You should do more of these expository videos describing books or movies or whatever. Your tone, pace, and pronunciation is perfect for these kinds of videos. Definitely my favorite ASMR video by far.
I've had The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear on my wishlist for a while. After watching this, I bought it. Can't wait for it to arrive and cozy up on the couch and read it with my daughter. I think she's going to love it! Thanks!
I don't know if you were the first woman to whisper about books I love on TH-cam, but I don't care about any other possible whisperers ANY MORE. You are the only whisperer for me.
Love George Orwell, 1984 and particularly Animal Farm, which was a curriculum book at school. There's definitely something about the first books you really read as a child, they will always be treasured favourites ! Thanks for the video
😮😍 Captain Bluebear is my favourite too! I also bought this as a young teen with a book voucher I was gifted by my drama teacher. She was impressed with my book choice! 😁
I gasped when you picked up "Captain Bluebear" because Walter Moers is such a GENIUS author and deserves all the love he gets. His "City of dreaming books" is my all time favorite book and I've read it like a 100 times.
I also really loved the german "Captain Bluebear" series and I was SO surprised when I found out that the creator of Captain Bluebear was the author of "City of dreaming books"
I have watched this video sooo many times! I watched that much that I have recently bought Captain Bluebear! Haven't had the chance to read it yet but I cannot wait ❤️
I bought the Historian as you made it sounds like a really intriguing book to pick up and I'm a huge bookworm! thank you for the tingles, love your videos!
This is awesome Charlette! It's a fab book review as well as a relaxing asmr video. I love the sounds of books being handled, along with your smooth, gentle voice. Mind melting! I must read Captain Bluebear now as it sounds like my cup of tea (I'll give you my own review when I'm done!). Thanks a million. :-) x
+Todd Howard Thank you Todd! I URGE you to read Captain Bluebear! Its so wacky and out of this world! And such a page turner too! Cant wait to see what you think of it! x
Over the years I’ve come back to this video multiple times , I love books and I love asmr so this video really did it for me Hope one day you can make another asmr book video maybe more book recs ✨
Really interesting description of some of the books in your library. Love your relaxing voice. Very good video. Also, my grandchildren loved your "Rapunzel" video. Thank you for your effort. ...~Phil
+P Bruce Im so glad your children liked the Rapunzel video! What are their favourite bedtime fairy tales? Maybe I could put them on the list for next time? x
The cartoon was a segment in a children's cartoon show called "Die Sendung mit der Maus" so you can probably find it online somewhere. There was also a film a long time ago :) I think they still show the cartoon on TV in Germany sometimes x
Didn't really get that many tingles only cause I was SO excited when I saw we had the same taste in books and had so many of the same books!! I usually get HUUUUUUGE tingles when I watch ya tho! :)
+DavexDurham Uk I would love to do this, although copyright prevents me from doing this! Maybe I could do a role-play inspired video based on the book?
This is utterly perfect! I could listen for hours, I'm a bit of a book worm :3 And oh my, I love your make up! Such a cute Princess! A huge hug ( I will be sending the italian words soon meowww )
+Languages with Kiki Hello my little kitten :D Your so sweet! Im glad you found this interesting! I can't wait for your italian words! I hope I will do them justice! x
+Jay Paul books really are amazing. All this nonsense of stopping printing books in the next 100 years so that we can all have a kindle is hogwash! What would we do without the musky old smell of books! There would be a decline in ASMR videos for sure! Thanks for watching! x
I can recommend A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Millar. My Aunty is a librarian who has a good knowledge for hidden gems. I think it's one of the only books the guy ever released. It's a great book, quite quick to read but very sharp and very funny. Good craic pet.
Never heard of Captain Bluebear. Definitely going to get it...if it's for adults that haven't really grown up, which is actually something I'm proud of. (ha!) Thanks.
I've seen several of your videos, but this one has enabled me to determine your appeal. You are a cross between a femme fatale and a fairy godmother, a damn good one I might add.
Quite the eclectic taste, whispering friend. Glad that the planes didn't deter you too much from showcasing your vast collection :) This will do very well until your ponies escape into the wild ;P I'm such a sucker for classic sci-fi writers. Bradbury writes like he's composing a poem. PKD is less silky smooth, more disjointed, but his sci-fi ideas are second to none, many of which have been appropriated already on the big screen. He visits the human condition in the most absurd scenarios, doesn't he? I think I'll check out Captain Bluebear and Wool series. You have rekindled my interest for reading :D
+FluffyKittenofMordor Hello my fluffy friend! Ah yes, the planes are the bane of my existence! Hopefully I have edited them sufficiently out of this video! #theponiesarecoming I haven't read any of Bradbury, but I will sure put it down on the list (its getting quite full now!) and I agree with you that PDK is quite a difficult read, I found The Man in The High Castle to be quite challenging and I found after watching the Amazon mini-series a lot came together in my head. And of course this is where my love for the I-Ching comes from! Have you read Slaughter House 5? by Kurt Vonnegut? That was a trip I can tell you! DEFINITELY check out Bluebear you won't be disappointed! And Wool is equally as good. More along the lines of The Hunger Games but for Adults who don't go crying off about which boyfriend they decide they want to be with. :D x
+WhisperAudios ASMR Haha, your collection will triple in size by the time you're through with all the recommendations :P Yes, PKD's prose is definitely best suited for short stories. "I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon" is one of my favs! Had to google I-Ching and instantly felt uneducated... >_< Interesting! I've heard of Slaughter House 5 when I was looking for more classics to read. High praise from reviewers at GoodReads. I shall check it out too after a pass at the furry blue critter ^_^
Great video! I love this genre of books too and I love the Passage!! I got the city of Mirrors for Xmas and can't wait to read it. Will definitely try some of these :-)x
i really enjoyed your favorite books video and was interested in the captain blue bear book . so i just ordered a second hand copy from amazon and i'll let you know how i get on with it . thank you .
-Sherlock Holmes (Canon) -The conspiracy against human race -Call of Cthulhu -The name of the rose -Being and time (heidegger) -Semiotics(Charles S.Peirce) -Post Mortem(albert caraco) and a few more
I tend to comment on the actual ASMR and topic at hand, and I never really like to note on the looks of the actual person, but you look especially beautiful in this video. Had to put it out there. 😃😃
+321puca I get that with my favourite ASMRtists! Maria (@gentlewhispering) and Olyesa (@asmrmania)! Thank you for watching and your lovely comments! xx
read the 13 1/2 lives of capitain bluebear a few months ago. got me out of a hard time an i didnt know that walter moers wrote anything else. look forward to reading more
i would love you to do a series of bed time story reading videos or audiobooks. if your planning on reading blue bear again why not devide it in to chapter bedtime reads! mega views predicted! ;)
I share a lot of your tastes. Especially Orwell and Huxley. :) You had me until Harry Potter (Not judging just not my thing) :p Two books I would recommend in the dystopian genre would be Oryx and Crake and the Handmaid's Tale by Atwood (if you haven't read them already that is). Impressive bookshelves are sexy.
Can't wait to read The Historian! Love those vampire books!!! But I'm not sure about The Passage. I've never read Stephen King but I have a feeling his books will scare me!!
Some interesting recommendations there. Thanks. Post-apocalyptic fiction is among my favourite too. Indeed, my username is derived from a fantastic post-apocalyptic film called The Quiet Earth. It's really mysterious and unnerving, but zany too, I suppose. I'd recommend A Canticle For Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr. Often described as a landmark of post-apocalyptic fiction. Thanks for making ASMR videos. They're soothing and definitely help me unwind.
Very rarely do I comment on videos, but I just want you to know that I'm an avid reader, and very much share your interests! I'm absolutely going to develop an entire library wish list directly off this video. Please please please, share more, if not ALL of your collection with us! Also, intermittent updates on recently read are welcome! Thanks in advance! :)
+Kristen Macpherson Thank you for your comment! And what an amazing idea! An in depth critique of each book I complete with maybe a sample chapter? And Ill try and do part 2 of my library when I next get round to it! x
have you read anything by J.G. Ballard? highly recommended. get one of the short story collections to start, but you may particularly enjoy The Crystal World, The Burning World and/or The Drowned World.
I understand you're a "Lord of the Rings" fan - I highly recommend you check out the "Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan. It will take some time (the series has 14 books, each one approx. 800 pages long) but it's definitely worth it. It's like L.O.T.R. times 1000...dozens of main characters and hundreds of others! THE best fantasy series I've ever read, period.
WhisperAudios ASMR I doubt there is even an ounce of morbidity in you - actually, you strike me as a sane and classy young woman =). Also, after viewing your video I ordered a copy of Walter Moers' Captain Bluebear! I'm quite curious about it and I think it's going to be an interesting read :).
+HeadinNorthe Aaaaah! Ive always wondered if I was pronouncing it correctly or not! All these years! Thank you for the heads up! And thanks for watching! x
+WhisperAudios ASMR don't want to be a smart ass, just having the same problem with my favorite author for years. still not entirely sure how to pronounce her correct.
+WhisperAudios ASMR rebecca gablé (ingrid krane-müschen), german author who writes mostly historical novels(?), not sure what the genre is called in english, about england in the middle ages.
+WhisperAudios ASMR If you like vampire fiction I would recommend The Strain trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan which is the basis for the show on FX channel
wot no game of thrones....? might check some of those authors out when I get some time. I read1984, and wild horses couldn't drag me back to read it again. The most nihilistic and depressing read ever. Heard of Haruki Murakami? he has done some great stuff. I would recommend Hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world by him if you are looking for different reads.
+adamjhayes59 No! No GOT as of yet! Im waiting for my sister in law to finish reading them so I can borrow them off her as the box set is tres-expensive! 1984 is very depressing, I think thats why I like it! Im not a fan of happy endings and I love a good cut throat finale! Kind of like Lemony Snicketts "A Series of Unfortunate Events" I shall check out "Hard Boiled Wonderland"! Thank you for the suggestion! x
Yes Fassbender would make a great Winston Smith! Great shout! May I recommend a novel? The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwood is a dystopian novel set in the future, in a theocratic America in which women have been deprived of their rights. It really is excellent, and is very relevant today with themes of the oppression of women and religion.
+Jay Paul Yes! #fassbenderassmith I shall definitely check that out! Im a sucker for dystopia! And yes, a very on topic book which really sounds like it reflects how culture is today...TO AMAZON SHOPPING! xx
+Jay Paul They made a movie of the book as well, really interesting to see how they portrayed some of the scenes! While I'm a reader at heart, I always feel obligated to watch the movie.
+JJ productions I would love to do that although I would get into trouble with the author for infringing copyright as the book isn't in the public domain yet :D x
have u read 'a brave new world.. revisited? its the nonfiction version where huxley shows a plan of how a brave new world could be brought on. its a bit disturbing his brother julian huxley was the first ceo of unesco. orwell too seemed to be in on somthing. cue the tinfoilhat jokes...

+Borg750 I need to read Animal Farm! Its on my to read list for sure! Thank you for watching x
Please make another book show and tell video soon!!! Your voice plus the book sounds knocks me out in no time!
Thank you so much for your videos!!!
😮😍 Captain Bluebear is my favourite too! I also bought this as a young teen with a book voucher I was gifted by my drama teacher. She was impressed with my book choice! 😁
Very enjoyable and relaxing. Looking forward to another edition of your favorite books!
I love your "My favourite...." videos and this one is a gem. I will definitely be checking out Walter Moers' books. Your voice is amazing! :-)

Glorious video. Asmr and books, my two favorites. Now I have lots of new material to look up! :)
I always come back to this video! And because of this video I have just bought Captain Blue Bear 🐻 can't wait to read it x
I would love to watch another video abt your favourite books. Great inspiration for me. Thank you.

+P Bruce Im so glad your children liked the Rapunzel video! What are their favourite bedtime fairy tales? Maybe I could put them on the list for next time? x
I used to watch Captain Bluebear cartoons in Germany during my childhood and had no idea it was originally a book. Definitely have to read it now!
+Mia Von Hyde There are cartoons?! I had no idea! Can you still watch them? x
The cartoon was a segment in a children's cartoon show called "Die Sendung mit der Maus" so you can probably find it online somewhere. There was also a film a long time ago :) I think they still show the cartoon on TV in Germany sometimes x
Just went to eBay and bought Captain Bluebear right after watching this video. Sounds like a gem! Can't wait to read it!
The Walter Moers books are so wonderful! Love 'em!
+Insert Name Here - I think I will insert your name as....Hubert. Moers is simply the best! :D x
I LOVE Captain Bluebear! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that book mentioned anywhere, but it is fantastic!
Me neither I got so excited when I saw her holding this book in the thumbnail 🥰 I too bought this book as a very young teenager!
You should do the same kind of thing but with albums. I really enjoyed this!
Didn't really get that many tingles only cause I was SO excited when I saw we had the same taste in books and had so many of the same books!! I usually get HUUUUUUGE tingles when I watch ya tho! :)
I was fully awake before I see this. What happened in the video, I have no idea, I was snoring all through it. Great!
Do another one of these to show us more! This was great.
+RawrJustJames I shall! I also have a whole heap of non-fiction books too! x
WhisperAudios ASMR Do it! :D
Captain Bluebear is my favorite book of all time too. I's one of the first books I have read
You should do a reading of The Historian. That would be great to listen to while working.
+DavexDurham Uk I would love to do this, although copyright prevents me from doing this! Maybe I could do a role-play inspired video based on the book?
+WhisperAudios ASMR ahh yeah there is that like. Yeah you could do that would also be awesome!
I hope I will do them justice! x
Brilliant ASMR vid - Wish you would do a part 2 of your fave books. Subbed and looking forward to more.
I have just bought Captain Bluebear on your recommendation loving it so far x
Perfect, more of these please! Maybe a ''Favorite Films'' video?
Hehehhe! Just in the middle of editing it! Geeks are going to love it! X
Ha, great minds... I bet you're a sci-fi fan.
+Red MARS hahahah its pretty obvious isn't it?! hehe x
I like the way you say blue.
+Tucense Thank you! x
Really enjoyed this! Am a big fan of George Orwell. Hope for more vids like this discussing your favourite literature as I am a book nerd too :)
+Jay Paul books really are amazing. All this nonsense of stopping printing books in the next 100 years so that we can all have a kindle is hogwash! What would we do without the musky old smell of books! There would be a decline in ASMR videos for sure! Thanks for watching! x
Kindle Schmindle! I need to be able to feel the page in my hand, turn it, and smell the pages too, lol
+Jay Paul YES! x
I can recommend A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Millar. My Aunty is a librarian who has a good knowledge for hidden gems. I think it's one of the only books the guy ever released. It's a great book, quite quick to read but very sharp and very funny. Good craic pet.
Good shout.
I loved this video. I couldn't turn it off. More! More!
Ok this girl is perfect in every sense.
thank you for introducing me to Moers.
Relaxing and tingly. Thank you very much! :)
Love your taste in literature. Also love your videos. Please continue being awesome.

Never heard of Captain Bluebear. Definitely going to get it...if it's for adults that haven't really grown up, which is actually something I'm proud of. (ha!) Thanks.
+Dan Barach I definitely recommend it! You won't be disappointed! x
Deal!
I see Hugh Howey!!! Wool is amazing.
I've seen several of your videos, but this one has enabled me to determine your appeal. You are a cross between a femme fatale and a fairy godmother, a damn good one I might add.
This was so great
+bigfella9600 Thank you! x
You seem like the perfect candidate for "The Little Prince" by Saint-Exupery. Extremely allegorical and beautiful
Quite the eclectic taste, whispering friend. Glad that the planes didn't deter you too much from showcasing your vast collection :) This will do very well until your ponies escape into the wild ;P
I'm such a sucker for classic sci-fi writers.
#theponiesarecoming
I haven't read any of Bradbury, but I will sure put it down on the list (its getting quite full now!) and I agree with you that PDK is quite a difficult read, I found The Man in The High Castle to be quite challenging and I found after watching the Amazon mini-series a lot came together in my head.
+WhisperAudios ASMR Haha, your collection will triple in size by the time you're through with all the recommendations :P
Yes, PKD's prose is definitely best suited for short stories.

Welcome to Zamonia Matt! Walter Moers is a genius! x

I think that would be an AMAZING idea! i could listen to her read the dictionary!
I share a lot of your tastes. Especially Orwell and Huxley. :) You had me until Harry Potter (Not judging just not my thing) :p
Two books I would recommend in the dystopian genre would be Oryx and Crake and the Handmaid's Tale by Atwood (if you haven't read them already that is).

+Dan Morgan I shall check them out! Thanks for commenting x
fantastic collection of books. I wrote a few down. :)
Can't wait to read The Historian! Love those vampire books!!! But I'm not sure about The Passage. I've never read Stephen King but I have a feeling his books will scare me!!
To infinity - and beyond!
Walter Moers is a genius. Be sure to take a look at his comic books, if you haven't already.
+ThisDyingEarth Some excellent suggestions there! I will be sure to check them out! Thank you for watching and your comments :D x

+heinäsirkka Yes! My favourite is Empire of the Sun :D x
Not many writers get more dystopian than Ballard.
Try Dean Koontz, you might enjoy his stories. Thank You.
+KevinSandy2 I shall! Thank you for the suggestion x
I understand you're a "Lord of the Rings" fan - I highly recommend you check out the "Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan. You might like "Three" by Jay Posey.
Good video.
I too have read 1984 by G. Orwell. Very good book, but too opressive and depressing to warrant a second reading on my part, I'm afraid.
+Michaël Claveau I must have a morbid personality as I have read it so many times! I may just just feeling oppressed!
This is one of my favourite asmr videos now, only way it could be improved is if you talked about do androids dream of electric sheep at length :D
Please tell me you've read blood of Eden? 10/10 my favorite book series ever.
btw. 'oe' in german is pronounced like the 'ö' umlaut, so basically walter mörs.
great vid
+HeadinNorthe Aaaaah! Ive always wondered if I was pronouncing it correctly or not! All these years! Thank you for the heads up! And thanks for watching! x
+WhisperAudios ASMR don't want to be a smart ass, just having the same problem with my favorite author for years. still not entirely sure how to pronounce her correct.

+WhisperAudios ASMR rebecca gablé (ingrid krane-müschen), german author who writes mostly historical novels(?), not sure what the genre is called in english, about england in the middle ages.
You should read Julio Cortázar. I know youll love him.
+WhisperAudios ASMR If you like vampire fiction I would recommend The Strain trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan which is the basis for the show on FX channel
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad is a great book but its not dystopian or anything. Regardless, id still recommend it.
+DaTurdburglar Thank you! I shall check it out x
It is pretty dystopian in the true sense.
I'm assuming you've read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. That's my favorite!
+Sungoddess161616 I haven't yet! Everytime I go onto amazon its in my top suggested! I needed to read it!
Way too late, but have you read The Gone-Away World by Nick Harkaway? That's my all-time favorite book and it's dystopian as hell.

+Evgeniy Suslov Yes! Im currently half way through! I love it! x

Thank you for the suggestion! x
+WhisperAudios ASMR You are in for such a treat with Game of Thrones then, it's a roller-coaster of emotions. Savor every bit of it! ;D
the passage sounds like a good vacceine predictive programming book
Yes Fassbender would make a great Winston Smith! Great shout!
May I recommend a novel? The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwood is a dystopian novel set in the future, in a theocratic America in which women have been deprived of their rights. It really is excellent, and is very relevant today with themes of the oppression of women and religion.
+Jay Paul Yes! #fassbenderassmith I shall definitely check that out! Im a sucker for dystopia! And yes, a very on topic book which really sounds like it reflects how culture is today...TO AMAZON SHOPPING! xx
let me know if you like it when you finish it! :)
+Jay Paul They made a movie of the book as well, really interesting to see how they portrayed some of the scenes! While I'm a reader at heart, I always feel obligated to watch the movie.
I second handmaid's
"die 13 1/2 Leben des Kätpten Blaubar" Wow im really surprised that Moers is Kown outside of Germany!
Could you please read the 13.5 lives of captain bluebear in asmr way, I think you would do great and it's good video content :)
+JJ productions I would love to do that although I would get into trouble with the author for infringing copyright as the book isn't in the public domain yet :D x
