Great review of a great, under appreciated car. Love the flexible interior and the physical controls especially.
It's very refreshing having such a practical and usable interior in a new car in 2024!
Jasper, in this video you're officially the youngest person ever to drive a Jazz 😉
Hi from NA. We miss the Jazz/Fit dearly and it was most definately a young person car over here!
Thanks for another detailed and well thought through car review Jasper.
However, I must take issue with your appreciation of the car's exterior styling. Granted, the latest iteration of the Jazz looks slightly improved compared to its earlier edition, but to my eyes it has always looked as though when sat in the design studio, the Japanese designers pictured a retired headmistress sat at the wheel ! Its definitely not a head-turner.
Having said that, the interior, like many Honda models, is attractive and nicely laid out with some clever features like the magic seats and twin glove boxes. As for being a family car - well, maybe, if you' ve two very small children, but with such a compact boot when the rear seats are being used, where would you put all the luggage and push chairs etc. ?
I've considered this car myself as it has a lot going for it, but think for me the new Renault Captur or Citroen C4 make more sense.
I hope we can agree that this generation definitely looks better than the one available around 2016, too!
Love the work Honda have done on the interior, it's a very human car.
A good, honest small car that looks like it has been designed to do well everything that its intended to do. It also doesnt pretend to be something that it isn't.
Well done Honda. Expensive though, but isnt just about every new car these days?
It is the polar opposite in just about every way (apart from size) to the Jeep Avenger that BU tested recently.
It is expensive cash, but quite competitive on finance. You do get your money's worth - very much unlike the Jeep Avenger, yes! 😂
Would you choose the Jazz over the Yaris?
If you want more space and a nicer interior, yes. If you want THE most fuel efficiency humanly possible, no.
The suspension on the Sport model being tested is firmer than on the rest of the range
Yes, which is why it handles surprisingly well for a relatively tall hatchback.
@@BuckleUpShow Yes, but you didn't point it out in the video, somebody buying an EX would get a car with a softer ride
We would also expect people looking at purchasing this car to test drive one prior to pulling the trigger. Apologies for missing this point from the video but it's difficult to ensure every single detail is captured.
That's important for me. I test drove a Jazz in 2021 and found the suspension very soggy. In fact I began to feel car-sick even while driving, which is unusual for me. Very few road tests mentioned this, although one French review found poor body rigidity, which might explain my reaction
I demand to know if a harry or a rob can fit on the rear floor when the rear seats are lifted out the way.😊
If only they designed it a bit sportier.
The previous version looked cool and sporty.
This one looks like a grandma car.
Can you fit a spare tyre in the boot or is it just the crap tyre repair foam?
You would only fit a can of tyre foam in the space available under the boot floor, realistically.
@@BuckleUpShow Looking at buying a new car next year, looks like it will be a Toyota Yaris. Don't trust the foam stuff.
How often do you get punctures? The newest generation of Yaris only comes with a tyre repair kit too.
@@BuckleUpShow That's a very good point, in 30 years of driving only 3. But next time it could totally destroy the tyre and the foam will be no good. Looked online and you can cut away the black foam insert and fit a spare into the wheel well.
Thanks... You mentioned that it "𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭"? What is the ground clearance? Why do car reviewers never state the ground clearance yet it is very important to many people? Cars have progressively "gone to the ground"!! You have to think twice what to buy if you have to deal with snow or if you regularly go off the road a bit. Thanks again
Lift is being used in the visual sense, not in terms of ground clearance. The styling elements make the car more interesting to look at; nothing to do with ground clearance.
Twinks reviewing cars, is my new favourite genre to stumble upon.
My girlfriend will be devastated when she finds out about my secret double life as a twink car reviewer 😂
@@BuckleUpShow honestly, I doubt she'll be surprised 😂 good review tho, seriously 😊
@@BuckleUpShowbro I can ride it better than her😂
