Recently I'm owning The Xuv5OO !! I was thinking to book Xuv7OO. But this video has totally changed my mind towards Scorpio-N ❤️😂 I used to own the Mighty Muscular Scorpio back in 2009 !! Then we upgraded to Xuv5OO for more comfort & luxury. But this Scorpio-N looks like it has everything Comfort, Luxury, Speeddd ❤️ We can drive anywhere 😂😂. All the effort has been made to improve the interior that’s the reason why the exterior design has been neglected. No boot space at all. Nothing compared to the Old muscular design

I am 6'1 and had hard time sitting in xuv300 ,had to adjust seat height and the adjustment is only available in top models , but felt more spacious in Scorpio as soon as I sat in the driver seat well Scorpio is too big for my requirement as I need a compact suv

Superb video and completely agree. We went for a test drive and were completely blown away. I think the ride quality is incredible and as you rightly said, puts a smile on your face. We booked it the minute we test drove it and I think nothing even in the 40 lakh segment comes close. Unbelievable car and totally changed my mind about Indian cars and engines!
Good Review. I have S10 2014 Blue & it has done 1L kms. It still is a beast. Although, will also bring this to my garage, as i feel this is the most VFM 4x4 with very good power figures. Basicaly it’s 85% of Fortunner at half the price. No brainer.
Thank you so much for the video review! I drove duster(2015 to 2022), and just sold it in march 2022. I was looking for an upgrade but in the petrol this time, as diesel cars have only 10 years validity in Delhi NCR. I test drove seltos and didn't like it at all, as driving dynamics were clearly missing, at least what I felt(being an ex-duster owner.) And I was planning to go with Taigun gt line, as a lot of people are claiming it to be really good. But now after watching this video, I guess I'll have to reconsider, with this price point I think Mahindra has dropped another bomb! Not sure other car companies will be able to catch up with Mahindra!

Great video, covered all aspects but one thing i like to know that how good is the camera quality of ScoprioN and also Mahindra should've given atlest 10" screen in top models like W6, W8 and W8L, it feels so tiny considering the size of the car if we use 360 view in it. Otherwise it's a good package.

i happened to test drive yesterday. I must say, a very good car. However one big issue which many would prefer to ignore. The third row seats arent much useful unless seating children. On a long drive with luggage you will need to fold down the third row. And in that case its very bad. After folding it doesnt flush with the boot to give a flat surface. The boot space of 50 lits is low and the space for luggage after folding the seat becomes too high. Also it leaves a gap between the second row and third row. I presume that didnt give it a thought. If you want to buy a Scorpio but are hardly going to use the third row then my suggestion would be to ask the dealer to remove the third row seats and give it to you as a 5 seater. Also this car is a bit higher and longer than the older Scorpio. It didnt give me enough confidence while turning over a sharp bend...especially if turning at a bit higher speed....even at around 60 kmph. Though many reviews claim no body roll, i did feel it. Also in a car of this range i would definitely expect ventilated seats considering the indian summers. Ventilated seats should be must instead of the sun roof which hardly many people use, though everyone want it. The gear response in automatic for diesel is quite good and the torque is superb. The car generates good speed with slight throttle. Over all a good car, though maybe over priced by 2 lakhs.

Those who are complaining about ground clearance of Scorpio then you should know that ground clearance is important but not much as other things in car like 4x4,TCS,HDC etc and if you think that ground clearance is more important than others things then you can go for a truck where you get plenty more of ground clearance.😃
Thanks Rachit & team for another fabulous and detailed walk through. This is something of an expectation now from Motoroctane and happy to see it being exceeded in each video time & time again. One small point to Rachit would appreciate that before turning you put on turn indicators. It is beneficial for you and others too. Since so many people watch the videos this can also become a medium of instilling good driving practices along with car knowledge. Tc guys and fabulous work done.
Looks like a complete package except for a few snubs. A 10" infotainment screen would have done justice to such a massive car! Also the front seats should have been ventilated! Apart from that looks really promising. A really amazing review covering almost all. Excellent job Rachit!

Hydraulic hatch rear tailgate would have been a welcome addition to the new Scorpio. The side opening tailgate has lots of issues which no one discusses. It's a big missed opportunity for a premium upgrade by Mahindra.
4 big downsides - Boot is so small, even after folding the 3rd row seats. - No ventilated seats - No AC vents in last row. Also, the AC vents in 2nd row are near to knees. - The dashboard is so small and feels weird. I have driven sedans mostly, so the dash there is quite huge
why the fuck do you need ventilated seats??!! in Indian only for 2-3 months it is very hot climate rest all is moderate and cold, Is your ass very sweating? will the normal AC can't cool your ass? 😂
02:00 One thing you forget to notice is that the window chrome lining is meticulously made just like a Scorpio sting (aculeus)...which shows very great attention to details....
Hi Rachit, A big thanks to you and your team for bringing such brilliant content to us. Quick Question: How much mileage can we expect from both Petrol and Diesel variants (Manual Transmission, Highway performance). Reason I ask is, you mentioned there is not much of a performance difference in Petrol and Diesel. That is also evident by the statistics shared by Mahindra (quite beefy figures even in the petrol engine). What makes me wonder is, in order to get Torque performance at par with that of Diesel (and that too in low rpm range), the Petrol engine must be tuned heavily and that should reflect in the significantly lower fuel consumption in petrol. If that is NOT the case, then are we saying that Deisel engines have lost the advantage they used to offer (low range peak torque and all)? I am interested to know. Expecting your response :) TIA!
Atleast 200mm ground clearance would have been appreciated... Hope they make it Edit: Ventilated seats too... Rest, it's a big daddy indeed... What a BEaST mahindra have made...!!
A small question for all the BS6 diesel engines blue is required but when we are doing hills in winter at that time we can put antifreeze for diesel but the blue freezes due to which starting the vehicle becomes a problem. So a petrol 4x4 was really expected...

Superb video and completely agree. We went for a test drive and were completely blown away. I think the ride quality is incredible and as you rightly said, puts a smile on your face. We booked it the minute we test drove it and I think nothing even in the 40 lakh segment comes close. Unbelievable car and totally changed my mind about Indian cars and engines!

I have S10 2014 Blue & it has done 1L kms. It still is a beast. Although, will also bring this to my garage, as i feel this is the most VFM 4x4 with very good power figures. Basicaly it’s 85% of Fortunner at half the price. No brainer.

Thank you so much for the video review! I drove duster(2015 to 2022), and just sold it in march 2022. I was looking for an upgrade but in the petrol this time, as diesel cars have only 10 years validity in Delhi NCR. I test drove seltos and didn't like it at all, as driving dynamics were clearly missing, at least what I felt(being an ex-duster owner.) And I was planning to go with Taigun gt line, as a lot of people are claiming it to be really good. But now after watching this video, I guess I'll have to reconsider, with this price point I think Mahindra has dropped another bomb! Not sure other car companies will be able to catch up with Mahindra!

Good Vehicle. But area where they can improve was Digital Speedo meter, Auto dim option for the rear view mirror, Knee Air Bag etc.. as the top end prices are very much near to XUV7OO

Great video, covered all aspects but one thing i like to know that how good is the camera quality of ScoprioN and also Mahindra should've given atlest 10" screen in top models like W6, W8 and W8L, it feels so tiny considering the size of the car if we use 360 view in it. Otherwise it's a good package.
360 degree view is not available in scorpio-n

i happened to test drive yesterday. I must say, a very good car. However one big issue which many would prefer to ignore. The third row seats arent much useful unless seating children. On a long drive with luggage you will need to fold down the third row. And in that case its very bad. After folding it doesnt flush with the boot to give a flat surface. The boot space of 50 lits is low and the space for luggage after folding the seat becomes too high. Also it leaves a gap between the second row and third row. I presume that didnt give it a thought. If you want to buy a Scorpio but are hardly going to use the third row then my suggestion would be to ask the dealer to remove the third row seats and give it to you as a 5 seater.
Also this car is a bit higher and longer than the older Scorpio. It didnt give me enough confidence while turning over a sharp bend...especially if turning at a bit higher speed....even at around 60 kmph. Though many reviews claim no body roll, i did feel it. Also in a car of this range i would definitely expect ventilated seats considering the indian summers. Ventilated seats should be must instead of the sun roof which hardly many people use, though everyone want it. The gear response in automatic for diesel is quite good and the torque is superb. The car generates good speed with slight throttle.
Over all a good car, though maybe over priced by 2 lakhs.
I also feel the same for third row and the space part. I kind of missing the older version of Scorpio whenever i see the back space part.
What is the real world mileage of manual petrol and diesel variants of scorpio-n?

Those who are complaining about ground clearance of Scorpio then you should know that ground clearance is important but not much as other things in car like 4x4,TCS,HDC etc and if you think that ground clearance is more important than others things then you can go for a truck where you get plenty more of ground clearance.😃

Thanks Rachit & team for another fabulous and detailed walk through. This is something of an expectation now from Motoroctane and happy to see it being exceeded in each video time & time again. One small point to Rachit would appreciate that before turning you put on turn indicators. It is beneficial for you and others too. Since so many people watch the videos this can also become a medium of instilling good driving practices along with car knowledge. Tc guys and fabulous work done.
Looks like a complete package except for a few snubs. A 10" infotainment screen would have done justice to such a massive car! Also the front seats should have been ventilated! Apart from that looks really promising. A really amazing review covering almost all. Excellent job Rachit!

Hydraulic hatch rear tailgate would have been a welcome addition to the new Scorpio. The side opening tailgate has lots of issues which no one discusses. It's a big missed opportunity for a premium upgrade by Mahindra.
4 big downsides
- Boot is so small, even after folding the 3rd row seats.
- No ventilated seats
- No AC vents in last row. Also, the AC vents in 2nd row are near to knees.
- The dashboard is so small and feels weird. I have driven sedans mostly, so the dash there is quite huge

Quick Question:
How much mileage can we expect from both Petrol and Diesel variants (Manual Transmission, Highway performance).
Reason I ask is, you mentioned there is not much of a performance difference in Petrol and Diesel. That is also evident by the statistics shared by Mahindra (quite beefy figures even in the petrol engine).
What makes me wonder is, in order to get Torque performance at par with that of Diesel (and that too in low rpm range), the Petrol engine must be tuned heavily and that should reflect in the significantly lower fuel consumption in petrol.
If that is NOT the case, then are we saying that Deisel engines have lost the advantage they used to offer (low range peak torque and all)? I am interested to know.

A small question for all the BS6 diesel engines blue is required but when we are doing hills in winter at that time we can put antifreeze for diesel but the blue freezes due to which starting the vehicle becomes a problem. So a petrol 4x4 was really expected...
