Rabbi, you made the simplicity of being so profound ; and your gift of expressing is nothing short of giggles ..How often did your listening audience giggle during this message?! Such joy!
I giggle as I reminisced my own daughter questioning the very things you mentioned. She wanted to know why about everything until she finally forced me to say "because." Why? Because I run out unsatisfactory answers to her "whys" about life. Still never satisfied with "because" she never stop asking the whys.
She is quite the yearner and seeker now ; still today wonders why she is on earth.
Children always have been my best teachers. Their depth of curiousness is profound.
Thank you thank you thank you

@yvonnerahui8729 Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I may have poorly stated what I meant by "new way." As the ancient perception of God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow forever. How I meant it to say is "new Way" from what I was taught in Christianity (doctrine). There are thousands of denominational (doctrines) in Christianity religion. Each doctrine or belief varies in each denomination. Most don't teach much from the "old testament." It doesn't apply "they " say. We are new testament christians they teach. Over the years of study & research and visiting various denominations is how may Christianity be understood without a knowledge of the Torah and other books in OT.

But that doesnt matter because nothing can violate the Torah anyway. But all you have to do is listen a while and you see he very shallow understanding. Take this lecture on religion. Religion isnt ablyt 'following rules and you'll be fine', religion is about following God's law, which , by practicing it, leads to enlightenment. Practicing God's law, and religion is nothing more, is what leads to understanding, spiritual purity, and straight into a relationship with God. They cant be separated in fact. This man needs a long sabbatical to decide if he has faith in God and believes the Torah and Tanaka, and to pray for rebirth by the spirit. His mind seems stuck on a worldly level. Anyone who doesn't understand how the law leads to spiritual enlightenment and self mastery cant understand kabbalah.

As someone who was Born into the Christian world and Church, and spent the past decades of my life trying to find contentment and peace within myself and my relationship with the GOD I was so much aware of.
The journey took me on a path through a number of Religious beliefs and their established Religious Organizations including " MessianicJudaism" , That all fulfilling Religious utopian dream of the Messianic heaven and eternal spiritual life with him in his heaven; but with no lasting influence on my deep feelings of disconnection from G-D and my continuing loneliness.
I finally thought of trying the possibility of converting and joining the Hebrew Community, and then during my search for the way in, I discovered the Noahide way of life , and what it takes to be connected to GOD, THE ONE AND ONLY GOD of Creation.
I have been living a life of complete peace and joy in my relationship with G-D as a confident and faithful adherent and advocate of and for the Noahide way of life that I try to live by on a hourly level and daily basis ,
Instead of practicing a Religious belief system I have no calling to, or adherent to as a Gentile / Goyim.
G-D'S perfect peace and Blessings to you Rabbi.

I have been on a spiritual journey for years. I also grew up in a church, but it seemed as though something was out of sorts. I've studied about other religions such as Taoism, Buddhism, Islam,etc... and nothing seemed to be what I was seeking after. I love to go to a local Native American State Park and walk the trails through the woods. I would often pray to The Creator as I walked and there was something that seemed right about it. I've never felt so close to GOD as I do now. I've discovered the Noahide Laws recently and they give me the freedom to worship GOD without religious dogma . The universe(s) were created by something, and it wasn't me or you!.... and creation is so complex and detailed, almost like a machine, that it didn't happen by chance. God, The Creator, created all that exists and I am only fulfilled when I have a relationship with GOD.

Hmm. I had a stroke, which put me in solitary confinement, even though I could go anywhere, and do anything, I could not transfer information from one side of my brain to the other side. It destroyed all my relationships, but one. The most important relationship there is. I learned His Name. Yah is what I call Him. As in Hallel -u-Yah. He accepts it, and He began to talk to me. He told me about His Torah, and most of the prophets. He reminds me of His introducing to me as a child, and how I was wary of other people's motives. It is like He has been by my side the whole time, patiently, and lovingly. I cannot hardly hear a sermon because they call Him by Greek names, which He hates. He wakes me up in the early hours and I love to be there with Him. I never really had a lot of success with people. That is my hardest hurdle. I have been alone, but not lonely. It is most difficult to relate to people, But I tell most everybody that I love them. It is true, that I do love most people, but some, I just stay silent. They seem to be violent, which I could become that, but I generally don't allow myself to be violent. It is the way of the nephillum, among other evils. Yes, I have a sin nature, and need Yeshua's blood to cover me. He is our big brother, and Wisdom, who made all things His Father created. Peace and love to all your dwellings. Oh, and I rarely attend church. They do not read their bibles.I used to have the preacher read for me, and it is a great poverty to do so. I am no scholar, so I do what I can. It is not too difficult . His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. His path is narrow. His way is laughter, that is Isaac. He likes when I say that. Joy for strength. I once heard a man say joy is ten times better than happiness which is counterfeit joy. The world seeks happiness. A brother to luck .

But i dont agree it's a need relationship as in God would be depressed if we didnt exist. Or that God's existence would lack anything without us. I think we're a natural outcome, just like all nature, of God's creative life force.

I really have been enjoying Rabbi Friedman’s Lectures
I think he may be tapping into something here
Understanding the nature of God as he relates to his creation
Again the shift of who needs what
To say that God needs me almost puts fear in me ; that tells me much on how I have been conditioned to perceive God
I don’t want to see God as a source I must constantly fear and be scared of
Religion can often portray God as monstrous
I must conclude that the author of this story called life needed us to make this story come alive
and although I may play an insignificant role ; in the eyes of God we are very significant and a much needed part of God’s story
You see beloved this is God’s story and after listening to this lecture it encourages me to believe that we all play a significant role
Who would have thought that God needs me

To understand the need/love relation, we must consider a family unit. More so where God is the adult in the room, its best to go and stay with His Commotion to the world teaching to resist assimilation away from what's best for you and and the love and support bridge that is built in service.

This is a response to a different presentation by Rabbi Friedman, which I no longer can retrieve. He addressed the issue why Jews reject Christianity. On this topic, with all due respect, I do not share the negative evaluation the Rabbi received. I noticed that Rabbi Friedman had the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4 in mind, rejecting the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. Even for us Christians the Trinitarian doctrine has historically been problamatic. In conversations and bible studies, the Trinitarian concept proves unsettling. Rabbi Friedman, I appreciated your clarification. Thank you. Reading the Christian New Testament back into the Tanakh (Old Testament) is distorting God's word.

Most of the problems human are facing today is as a result of the neglect of this simple principle. We are so desperate to get all other things even if it amount to kill another.
Just imagine a society where everyone is busy thinking about how to fix the needs of another person instead of their personal needs. And with the desire to build themselves with the same understanding, I believe world will be better than what we have now.

Why do Ashkenazi Jews constantly smack their lips? Other ethnicities do it occasionally, but at a much lower rate, if at all. People don’t like the sound. It’s easy not to do it. People, for the most part, don’t like it when people chew with their mouths open and smack their lips when they do so. Other ethnicities may do it, but at a much lower frequency. So, why do Ashkenazi do this with PRIDE, if you can believe it? Isn’t it obvious that picking one’s nose and eating it is repulsive. I’m not accusing Jews of doing this, but want to make the point that some habits are obviously repulsive. So, why isn’t it obvious to them that lip and tongue smacking is repulsive? I am being blunt, but no shade. This is constructive criticism.

Isralites knew God all the time. Believe in one God idea was inherited from their ancestors. Yet this nation, could not , is not following his laws. Israel, the nation of Israel today promotes tal Aviv as the gay capital of the world. It took only one prophet from Arabs to keep worshipping one God. Surely we need Jewish scholars like you to spread the knowledge of God over masses. There are good number of people who benefit from us. This piece of land one day will become free from the sins of this arrogant people who are supposed keep God's law there.

But Rabbi you have to stop with the " I Didn't Ask To Be Born " its beneath you , and its not what Your Lord God and My Lord God had in mind when it all got a start . So for this World to be All and everything Originally wanted by God , we had to be born ,UNTILwe Humans get it RIGHT.

I love Rabbi Mantis, but this is not a scriptural teaching as I see it. I don't understand where he came up with "I didn't ask to be born" comment. I believe God is not a man. If you are sad, you don't go to a party. Instead, you go to God in prayer. God is not a man, and He never was a man. God is not like man. We must become like God. He said be perfect as I am perfect. We must become one with God.

That should be obvious if person has a bit of intelligence, so we should not let stupid people to lead anything. The rules had originally the idea, that God want's people to be happy, and if the people are happy, God is happy. So think the bible code, the mizhvas, as an instruction manual to human soul. If you follow the instructions, you will have better life. So instead of dumbing down people, people should use their head and develope their intelligence. People like the ones who brang on people the catholic inkvisition, should not let never ever to rule the church.

God is lonely. How sweet. But why did he throw Adam and Eve out of Eden, if he hated to be alone?
Amd why did he try to shape a new kind of people over and over? Till he created a øpossibility to NOT leave human alone? He could easely have bin the company to humans - if he was alone.

The only certain thing you know about any God is that there is no evidence that any entity does or could exist.
Only in the minds of the weak. Weak in the context that believer’s cannot accept the fallibility of man and or the scientific evidence that overwhelmingly indicates earths life processes.
