Cheers bud, thanks for the feedback. I've been having issues with my mic since starting this series so I'll look into a dedicated bit of kit.

Wow, this is very similar to 40k. Anything that isn’t directly a big corporation will probably have better prices than games workshop though. I might look into this game a bit, thank you for randomly popping up on my recommended section.

That is fantastic to hear, and thank you for watching this video!
I have been hesitant to do a comparison between Firefight and 40k, but I think we have had enough information dropped now that it could be worthwhile.

The Mantic starter sets do tend to be really good value. I just wish they'd stop using PVC plastic/restic as it's awful to work with and Mantic's offerings all tend to have the same pose.

They do it because it is what board game miniatures are made out of and the setup cost is cheaper than hard plastics. They do not have gw level of finance so there are compromises

I was surprised to see some PVC Rippers in the main starter set to be perfectly honest.
I've been lucky with the restic stuff I've had, generally speaking, but I'm also not really too bothered with mold lines (I know, I know!)
I'd like to see them switch more of those models to their tasty in-house resin.

@@colinmack8655 I know why they use it. I would tolerate it more if the sculpts had more modularity, but they end up looking very similar and in some cases (looking at you, snow trolls) it just looks awful.
I'd much rather pay a bit more for proper resin models.

@@TableTopMagpie Yeah you can hide mould lines to an extent with painting, and they're hard to see from far away. I just wish there was more variation or modularity with the sculpts as their restic models are mostly monopose.
I'm with you on their resins though, those have always come out crisp.

Most of this set contents seem to be hard plastic.
Not a fan of the "plastic resins" myself either and sometimes it's hard to tell from their webstore which material the models are...
(They have some real resin models, which are really nice though. Tend to be the collectible specials mostly)
