Thinking of how we have Sovereign Hill in Melbourne, Australia. Think it would be cool to have an English town from the 1800's where the paddock is with shops and people showing how trades worked back then like black smithing, bakery, mining, police, hospitals etc.
Chris, I have been a few times and this is truly a wonderful railway. Can you walk around the whole of the railway as the last time I went you couldn't which was disappointing. Thanks for sharing your day. Regards, John
Hi John, Not as good for walking as in the past. On Saturday when we were there, did not seem to be as many locos running, with some only running to Oak Tree Halt. Regards Chris

Why the police presence ?
Junior police, they're usually seen just helping out make sure everyone's safe
It‘s part of their training. Nothing untoward. They assist some less able and help with first aid.
