So I was raised in a small town in India where I only had access to a very few Hollywood VHS tapes when I was 4-5. I was fascinated by those movies ever since I saw Jurassic Park. And cartoons were pure magic back then. Tom and Jerry, The Popeye Show and Looney Toons (Yes, not Tunes. Well, it was at least in my reality) as a kid. These were the very first cartoons I've watched as a kid and I have way too many core memories built around those stuff. Everything else like early Cartoon Network stuff got there after 2-3 years. So yeah, those memories are safely embedded deep inside my trusty hippocampus. I swear I didn't even hear about this until last couple of years. I don't get how it changed to 'Tunes', but that's fine. But what would be the reason for that ? Toons sound better to me anyways. Then it all got reinforced by that LeBron James movie. But not freaking out or anything, but the reality as we know it might be far from the truth, isn't it. So if we can't trust our own memories, how can we tell what's real and what's not? Man it's hopeful at the same time. Anything can happen I suppose. I feel like I'm living in a Rick and Morty episode lately. I wanna go back to our universe where it is still spelt 'Looney Toons'. I've seen this one before but I don't remember that. I tattooed that many times and even on myself spelled tunes. The last tattoo I did "looney tunes" was in 1997. However, I remember BOTH of nelson Mandela's funerals. I remember most Mandela effect cases but not that particular one.

The first several Loony Tunes and Merrie Melodies were just like Silly Symphonies in that they were animations that went along with music. My experience was the reverse. I always remember it being called Looney Tunes, but then I saw space jam and other people pronounce it as Looney Toons. And then for years I thought I’d been saying it wrong and misread it, only to find out that I was right to begin with.
I think calling it looney toons makes more sense though, because they’re cartoons and they’re all looney. 🤔

Why would you call Tiny Toons "the old show" when it came out decades after Looney Tunes? How is Tiny Toons (a tv show that came out in the 90's) evidence that Looney Tunes (a series of theatrical shorts that began as musicals in the 30's) was spelled toons instead of tunes?
