I’m here looking up roof racks but I did have “BERGTAT” on CD in 1995. That album was the soundtrack to that era for my little life here in Australia back then. I was 20 and lived in a flat where heaps of mates and parties took place. We’d always crank the “BERGTAT” album. It always gives me awesome nostalgia of those times
Revisiting all of Vargs work and I've gotten here. Thankful for the time spent listening all these years, since 11 I've been listening, 24 now. Much love, relaxing to these by a fire, smoke. Peace and love, take care of one another.
@@gloriascientiae7435why? These are about nature. Love of nature. And how God will save and free us from the despair, darkness, sorrow and horror of this crazy world.
Right wing people may not "get" Varg because of the past or how "radical green" he is. Left wing people may not "get" Varg for... Mostly the same reasons. He's still just a guy, trying to live off the land and to educate his children, very few interpret the actual albums THAT way.
@skovils In the official court records Aarseth still attacked him first with the intention to kill- Edit: And how would he be a loose cannon for that? A racist, sure, but has he committed any serious crimes since then?
How the world treats him??? Well, he killed a man, burned churches (not sure he's proud of that nowadays)… In USA he would be hanging from a rope! He killed someone in a soft country… yeah, a real hero! I love his music, but his ideas are just stupid!
whenever i hear 1:32 something breaks within me and reforms itself. this chord progression. there is something profound about it. depicting desolation, solitude and emptiness. this magnificence could be looped on forever. actually i will loop it for an hour...
I think this is Burzums best album. I'm not even kidding. Burzum is aging well into this novelty, "I'm a creepy guy who killed someone and makes.... sometimes 'okay' music... " type act. And I mean that in a good way. I was never a huge fan of the earlier stuff - I was far too distracted by Emperor and Immortal, as a guitar player. However, this Burzum? This album? I can appreciate it beyond shock appeal. It's fucking cool.
I think what makes this "unofficial" album good is that a fan took the time to arrange the songs to quite literally tell a story about Thulê. The ambient tracks all flow so well together, with the exception of one or two. But it's incredible stuff that Varg decided to release the official album a year later.
I totally understand you.. I like classic Burzum black riffs but I think hes totally find his spot in Ambient, it delivers a concrete state of mind, a belief, better than previous harder material. All of this romantic naturalistic oblivious stuff ages better and places him among real artists...

The Uruk-Hai material deserves an official release in my opinion.
He takes a perspective on nature what with the passing of the centuries man was losing with it. It has nothing to do with your other projects.
Guess what ,)
