"Got so much clit she don't need no balls" - is arguably one of my favourite lines in all of Rock 'n' Roll history! Also, it has to be mentioned, that this Grunge album came out a full year before Nevermind. So, hats off to the ladies!
Got a L7 tat on my forearm in the 90's, still gets more peoples "right on" than anything. Just bad ass women, and I rode bmx, and downhill listening to them quite a bit. Also their contribution to Natural Born Killers was just perfect. Mallory Knox is the fifth member of L7.
Yes but they broke through in 1992 here in the UK with bricks are heavy album The brought A new wave of feminist riot girl / grunge rock L7 Agreed a on Grammy and inducted to the Rock And roll hall of fame
I was at PDX (Portland International Airport) a couple weeks ago and I saw some guy wearing the "Smell the Magic" Tshirt. I used to have that tshirt. Loved it!
FYI- these ladies are not really identified with Riot Grrrl, even if they share some politics with them. Those are bands like Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Sleater Kinney, Huggy Bear. Feminist punks that are a bit less heavy than this. Though its a joke term, L7 were considered “Foxcore”, along with similar bands like Babes in Toyland, Lunachicks, 7 Year Bitch, and the Gits (and, ugh, Hole).

Great band, great song! I saw L7 in Leicester, UK, back around 1995 and they rocked. My girlfriend at the time (who didn't know what to expect) claimed to have had a 'transcendental experience' seeing women up on stage rocking like that, and went on to scare the yoga class she was teaching the next day by raving on about it - true story!
your here! subbed I forgot the 1990's cause prison wasn't nice. Now I listened to you so much them but wiped my brain. The tapes are in a box in my closet. Thank You so much for all You did for me. Arigatou gozaimasu Sensei L7
@@angieshdkgakdgskqq7043 this was considered grunge as it came out in the 1990s. And they were good friends with the guys in Nirvana. If you can, go see them live. I got to see them back then when I was younger version of myself and they kicked it. Take care and stay safe 😷
@@Alejandro_Arispe_III_Gaming oh I definitely agree with your comment. L7 was around when all the Seattle bands got huge and grunge was born. All of them love punk or hard core music and it shows.
Butt-head: Hey Beavis, who do you think would win in a fight between Tiffany and Debbie Gibson? Beavis: Debbie Gibson would kick her butt. She'd kick her! Butt-head: She should join a gang, like Wilson Phillips. Beavis: Yeah. Who do you think would win in a fight between Wilson Phillips and The Bangles? Butt-head: Uh...you're the expert, Beavis. Beavis: Shut up, Butt-head! Butt-head: One chick from L7 alone could kick all of their asses combined. When I first saw the B&B video I had never even heard of L7. I immediately looked them up because Butthead's delivery alone killed me. Once I heard them it's even funnier because it's totally true. And when Mike Judge gives you the nod, you are doing something right. The only video I ever saw on B&B that got this amount of respect was "I Wanna Be Sedated" where all they did was dance and didn't say a word. I love everything I've heard from L7 so far.
I saw L7 at the power station in Auckland Aotearoa new zealand with HEAD LIKE A HOLE opening and the next night at the same 1100 capacity club THE BESTIE BOY'S THAT WAS A SOLID WEEK OF LIVE MUSIC L7 FUCKING AWESOME 👍🤘
L7 are criminally underrated
I totally agree

The show at the sun club in tempe az on this tour was Life Changing. It's up on somebody's channel. Best video I ever shot

Donita really did have one of the best voices in all the bands that got called 'riot grrrl'.
Donita is what lead singers should sound like
