I like to check in on the Melee scene every year or so so I can see what my favorite player is up to and I’m never disappointed to see him still playing out of his mind and still being protected by that plot armor😂 Mang0’s fate was sealed several times in this set but somehow he always makes it out

If Mango always edge guarded Marth this well, he would beat Zain AT LEAST 75% of the time. All their sets the past couple years, he didn’t edge guard Zain what so ever. HUGE improvement :))
Zain looked pretty off here. Missed a lot of tech chases. A lot of his ledge grab attempts were very linear compared to how he usually comes back. Those pillar combos are not true either, but I watched Mangos other sets and he played excellent this whole tournament. Sometimes if someone is playing great it can make the opponent look like they are playing bad as well. Mangos style looked different than it usually is. Good stuff.
i realy think marth advantage on FD is not at all what it was before. chaingrab doesnt do that much,though i will say uair combos are monstrous. good falco pillar is basically chaingrab anyway. but platforms are good for marth so much cuz it allows position where marth under them, in fd u fight even ground
I swear mango is the only falco that doesn’t autopilot. Making actual conscious decisions to end stocks over half baked dumbass “extensions” that lead to nothing.
I would highly recommend to any of the top players to prioritize their career like that for their own livelihoods. Develop other important skills. Mango and hbox both have successful content careers because they seized the opportunity the limelight gave them. And worked their ass off and did it well. Number 1 in melee is a nice to have, but I would do the same as zain.

That said, Mango was playing pretty bonkers all day so probably wouldn't have mattered. Fathers Day Mango is a new man.

Fellas will ignore Mangos been shitposting and making content his whole melee life and that Zain couldn’t handle doing content for less than a month without getting shat on I don’t think the Mango haters are proving the point they think they are by saying “Zain only lost because he focused on other things besides getting better at melee.” The most or second most successful melee streamer (I think Hbox is potentially more popular but he has a sizable Ult fan base) winning is different than being the best at the game, that’s why Mangos the GOAT
Congrats to mango for ending the insane 11 loss streak to zain since 2022 with a 3-0 but we all saw how zain played and it looks like ulimate is having an effect. Zain handed game 1 over and was dropping so many grabs and punishes on the fd games. Its nice that mango got a win finally but lets see what happens in future sets when zain isnt playing so much ultimate.
