Thank you for walking through this. This is the part of BMS that confusing the ever loving heck out of me - but this is also the part of BMS that I really like as it adds a load of immersion. The mission and package prep, the planning, the ability to export plan to HTML and open it in your iPad to keep with you. *chef's kiss*
Wow, I am blown away at the level of detail for this. I had 4.0 from way back in the day but never got into it. Still have that crazy cool falcon manual in the nice binder. Now that I’ve learned the F16 in DCS I am going to dive into 4.35 and experience the dynamic campaigns
Awesome intro-walkthrough .. just getting through the training docs / TR missions in BMS is intimidating enough! I think a lot of folks have "campaign anxiety". This video is super helpful to demystify it all... I love the idea of playing it as a 2D RTS game. I may try that on my laptop some day. :)

Amazing how capable Falcon BMS is. I love DCS but the mission side of things feels so ancient on that compared to BMS. Really enjoying my venture into BMS

Nice to see content for BMS, i'm always struggling to stick with this sim. Hard to jump between Il-2 GB, DCS, X-Plane, P3D, MSFS ... We need everything merged into one sim ^^
man has a massive hard drive fitting all major sims on one pc
@@shoemannclara Hard drives are pretty massive now, but a day is still made of 24 hours ^^

Great content & well explained. Also arrived at the best time as I just started getting into BMS myself.
i tried playing Ace Combat on my PS4 but it was way too complex. Way too hard for me to learn. Once I downloaded Falcon BMS, it was so easy that I was blowing enemies out of the sky within minutes! BMS is not as realistic as Ace Combat but at least it's more user friendly.
Falcon 4.0 is still THE MOST faithful simulation of the F16, with first rate fight dynamics, avionics... and you compare this to arcadey Ace Combat?

I am looking forward for the setup video... Setting up my HOTAS with this game was the barrier that I was not able to climb over.
Its much better to map hotas now with latest bms version (no need to use spec sw to map hats on throttle).
Tips:
Use the “alternative launcher” for mappings,
Pinky bttn is used as a key modifier when hold,
You realy dont need zoom/zooming axis (thanks to smart objects scaling), just one key on “look closer” is enough

I appreciate this video is over a year old, but I have a question after watching this.
When you re configuring comms vis DTC you said that intra-flight frequencies start at 15. Is this a general rule of thumb for BMS? How did you know it's set to 15 by default?
Wondering, is your KeyFile for your T16000M Hotas + Rudders uploaded to the community somewhere? Cant believe such popular hardware isnt represented in the official mod release, lol
When I open a file in weapon delivery planner, I get an error saying no database loaded. Anyone knows of a solution?

Nope, old Falcon 4 is needed for legal reasons. Fortunatelly it's about 7-10$ from Steam or GOG (as a bouns in Falcon Collection)

I can't find your BMS beginner guide.
Neither falcon bms beginner's guide in the description section nor in your video list. At least I didn't find it. It will be better if u lower your screen resolution so the windows shown in the middle will be bigger so viewer can actually see what it is instead of seeing small blurring windows now.
How do you install WDP ?
Download and run the setup? Like any other piece of software?
Is this a mod for an entire game?
Yes. Called Falcon BMS. It's free to download if you own Falcon 4.0 and is constantly updated. It runs in VR as well
I am completely out of my depth with this sim. It’s gonna be harder than vtol.
Lol. Yea, much harder than VTOL. Also harder than DCS World, which is where I'm coming from. I havent flown the F16 in DCS though. Hoping a lot of knowledge from flying the FA 18 helps
Best advice I ever got was: Look at the F16 and the Campaign as two separate inter-connected games, so to speak.
Learn to fly the F16 and learn to work the campaign/planning stage separately.
