I am Surprised you didn't get walloped while the lure was out and you were untangling the line lol. That is when I always get the best fish of the trip.
I like your theory about the sticks and flow mate, reckon you are on the money there. The rocky bank opposite 9:53 would be worth a few casts also, I reckon, if those rocks tumble below the water line.

@@MurrayCrabbFishing Persistence pays off for sure :) A nice little chunk for your efforts. I like that bass are less annoying to get fired up than yebblies, in my experience, they either hit or they don't, instead of that golden follow of 10 casts and then you spend the whole afternoon trying to get it to appear again.
Love when you startle a water dragon and they take off running on their back legs across the river lol.
Haha, take them carp fishing ;) That way they can lark around and still catch swamp whales.
