The original song is from SMTM11. Jay Park and Slom were one of the producer teams (and were usually referred to as Team Slay). Toigo was the main artist on the original and the features were Jay Park, Slom, and Jessi. Lee Youngji was also on Team Slay.
I'm not going to talk about the winner of the season (even though it was already spoiled for me) since I'm still waiting on the English subs (the final episode always takes longer since the show is fansubbed).
I don't know if you caught it, but in the final verse (which was how the song ended in the original version), there was a reference to IU being Korea's best hip-hop artist and how he is coming for that title.

That's cool with the producer teams, the songs I've heard from the show seem to mesh well for the artist that it's intended for.
I didn't catch that reference to IU but I've heard ppl kinda jokingly talking about IU the rapper lol.. I'll have to listen for that

@@BestFriendsReact Yeah, it is kind of a meme to call IU the best Korean hip hop artist because she is a great lyrist and everyone loves her, so it is easy to put the title on her and avoid fights over who is the best.
Don't worry you didn't spoil it. The day the episode aired I saw a spoiler for it.

Yes, but a common meme among K-Hip-Hop artists is to call IU the best, both because she is universally loved in Korea and because she is a good lyricist. This meme was brought up in the lyrics for this song.
