Octolings would *never* fall for that "look over there" trick; they're established in canon to be *way* smarter than the Inklings, which's one of the reasons their technology's so much more advanced. Not surprising considering that IRL, unlike squids, octopi have *9* brains; a *main* brain, and one in each of their arms.

Honestly felt like Coyote and Roadrunner and I love all the times he fails to catch him, although this time Meemo is trying to make 3 take a bath, which is also reminiscent to Spongebob making Gary take a bath, I swear that episode was hilarious. And remember squid kids, always take a bath or you may stink and have some people either try to force you into a bath or, if you come from the world of Splatoon, they may shoot you clean. Stay Safe and Stay Fresh!

@@latexu95 they can drink water based drinks like juice & coffee, & the Japanese version dialog of the original game has Callie & Marie mentioning a need/desire to take a shower at certain points, so they can tolerate water to an extent.
I've actually heard an excellent theory that the reason Inklings can't swim in most water is simply because all the toxic dumping we *humans* did as well as the radioactive fallout from all the nukes we launched during World Wars III, IV, & V made almost *all* the water in water bodies like the ocean too *acidic* for the squids & octopi that would become the Inklings & Octolings to handle, & that's what drove them onto the land in the *first* place; if that's true, then they probably treat the water they use for drinks & bathing to be far *less* acidic before using it. But they can't do it for whole *bodies* of water like oceans, rivers, lakes, etc, which's why they can't swim in them.
